Yeah it was all due to a non-Native casino interest not wanting the Mashpee to build one. It was pretty horrific. The legal precedent it set, which can certainly continue to be a problem later on down the road with a less friendly administration, is ultra turbo fucked.

Yeah... It's supposedly been like this for decades now, so obviously someone thinks it's a good thing.
I thought the idea of debating was to help these kids develop public speaking skills and critical thinking, but apparently not.
Although I guess there has to be some critical thinking skills in rebutting that many arguments on the go.

Pretty sure in my debate class that if any of the affirmative side's assertions were rebutted then they lost. The opposing team had no obligation to address them all.
