Very little now, sadly, even less than the sadly little I knew in the past several years when I had the odd occasion to use it, mostly just pleasantries and the necessities like how to order beer and ask for the washroom, though. Nothing to brag about. But it's often easy to reply to my wife with hai because it cuts through the buzz of background noise (like when the TV and stove fan are on at the same time)--she doesn't have to translate so it's more noticeable as a response from me-- and then it's just force of habit to do it nearly all the time.
I'm sure it has an air of pretention to it if you don't know me, but I intend nothing of the sort--it's a practical matter. Any other Japanese I might trot out is likewise well-intentioned as merely practicing to hang on to what little I can still remember. At the Japanese restaurant that opened here last year, they seem to really like it when I greet them and so on in Japanese.
Like a lot of other stuff I had going, my plans of learning more about the other languages I can speak a bit of went totally off the rails when I went into a major depression phase of the good ol' bipolar pendulum this year and I'm still struggling to get out of it. When I do, I expect to resume my study of Japanese. Other than the obvious issue of trying to remember all the vocabulary, I find it really easy to learn so I have no doubt if I just keep at it I can master it eventually. But I'd actually be satisfied if I could get to where I can have a full conversation with my brother-in-law without my wife having to translate all the time.
Is this @tonni bait?I'm going to be voting for Trump; but I still thought this was hilarious and figured that you guys in the lounge would get a kick out of it. I saw this on one of the classified Facebook groups that I'm a part of.

Thanks. I don't really lack for resources, but the ability to apply myself to them with any sort of diligence right now. There are loads of great resources for japanese. If I were learning a major language, I would use busuu. It has support for japanese. It's a paid app, but it has support all the way up to B2 and you can actually get your B2 certificate.
Trump is at best delusional or legit nuts

Left in the middle of a video meeting today because I saw a pileated woodpecker outside and wanted to get a picture.
No dice though, he didnt want me to capture his bad hair day I guess.![]()
According to the Poetry Foundation, a woodchuck would chuck “As much wood as a woodchuck could chuck, If a woodchuck could chuck wood.” Researchers at Cornell determined that a woodchuck could chuck about 700 pounds.
What even is a woodchuck?
It's a groundhog.
They pretty cool I guess.. but they aren't as cool as a pileated woodpecker.
We had loads of pileated woodpeckers where I grew up. I didn't see a blue jay until I was in my 20's though. We only had Steller's Jays.

"Password... it couldn't be Password could i... Oh my God"
