Honestly I wish skinhead always avoided the racial violence between the SHARPs and Boneheads. This shit was just too good as far as skin music goes.

I went on a very important bender the last weekend, I spent my time watching the waves lap the shores of Lakefront, sipped pints in the Irish Channel, ate acid and told an otter at the zoo "You get me don't you?" Ate sausage stuffed shrimp wrapped in bacon at one of the nicest restaurants in the country and was greeted by the waitress "Ain't often we see Quarter Trash this far uptown" and on this gorgeous adventure of self realization, I've found myself realizing just how important of a genre ska was/is.

She reminds me of Brody without having to have clout chased Tim Armstrong.

also @Gregolian Sturgill dropped a bluegrass album a few days back ( one of the greatest working class genres of music ever made, and about to be huge again imo)


He should have booked Iron Horse to back him up tbh. Nashville may reside in them mountains but them mountains aren't Nashville. Good hillbilly bluegrass is as magic as New Orleans Jazz. Swear to God I saw a boys fingers almost bleed in the Ozarks from his banjo playin'. Fiddles that slashed like middle school knives. Simpson has got the soul and got the voice, but it's a bit too refined. Gorgeous nonetheless.

Interrupters get a decent amount of radio play up here off their last couple of singles. I keep meaning look further into them. Definitely like what I've heard so far.

Not sure about past lives, but the Minority is confirmation of a whole new class of troll shtick and there was no way he was genuine. I call that one Faux Reasonable. Start shit with certain posters by being provocative, and act quite reasonable with certain other posters, ensuring the various people the troll interacts with are friendly with each other. It's a pattern I've noticed copping up here and there lately.

@Gregolian when we left off the convo on agriculture as a voting/lobbying bloc, I think I was stressing how they should be considered a voting bloc because so much of the economy depends upon it, how the interests of all of the industries that support their activity and the taxes collected are all strong bonds that will make large areas vote together. So a state like Nebraska can act as a bloc because so many of its people are depending on certain policies and tax situations, directly or indirectly. So the effect goes very far beyond the major farm lobbying activity and the people working more directly for them, imo.
 
Had to take a strong pill for back spasms this evening and was reminded again of how much better I am to be around and how much more I like people when I'm a wee bit lit up. lol.

Damn really? Most the radio down here is local jazz, bounce music, and trap.

This song is all over the city rn, Big Freedia is a fucking local icon, even before her brother got shot to death.

If it weren't for this stupid fucking lockdown Covid shit, I'd be sitting outside a fucking punk show smoking a joint and drinking a to go drink watching the Bounce trailers go by all night. Which is a trailer full of women twerking while a DJ is set up at the front of the trailer or in the back of the pickup truck while they drive around town. Wait long enough a crackhead literally selling black market barbecue running from the cops will almost kill three people pulling a smoker behing a truck, hop out and scream "FIVE RIBS TEN DOLLARS CASH ONLY", sometimes hearing sirens then just dumping a hotel pan full of bbq on the ground and driving off to the next spot.
