Should just say “technocrat sophist” and call it a day

“The Rationalist Liberal”
Wants to win hearts and minds with evidence and logic. Believes most people can be reasoned with — at least at first — and tries to rise above tribalism. Deeply values nuance, but shows flashes of moral frustration when others oversimplify or twist the record. May be mocked for earnestness, but persists in pursuit of clarity and truth.

I consider anyone in support of the current President unprincipled, and that is a shitload of people. I don't see that on the left. I have a feeling people are going to reply that they agree with certain things and not on others, and I get that. But Trump is such a lawless threat to the Constitution and Democracy that I just can't give them a pass. You cannot gloss over that just because you happen to agree with some policies.
People like that hate illegals more than they love the Constitution, many such cases.

And many of those hate gay/trans people as well. Hatred can blind you, for sure.
Well to be fair sometimes it's not any that at all, sometimes they just hate liberals and vote against them reflexively.

I do think a lot of them hate illegals and transgenders of course but pure partisanship explains a lot of it. Just gross to see the side that used to wrap itself in the Constitution work to undermine it.

No not radical leftists, those people didn't vote for Kamala.

You guys hate liberals, as in the center-left who believe in free markets, liberal democracy, and open societies.
I think its mostly the defacto-open borders, soft on crime policies, cancel culture, and woke nonsense.

You guys nominated a convicted felon who pardon 1500 rioters his first day in office, you love criminals when they're committing crimes for your side.
I live in the Chicagoland area. Which do you think is more important to me?

You say that but I doubt you could tell me who your DA is without Googling it.

Voting for a convicted felon for president because of local crime is like voting in a mayor because of his foreign policy.

Doubtful, I think. But he's not banned so I can't say with any certainty.
I thought he lost a bet was the original. Not a meltdown or anything. Interesting. Lets see... they always come back eventually. We had some good back and forth.

It was Kim Foxx. Everyone knew who she was. She tried dismiss charges of a street shoot out claiming it was "mutual combat". She also dismissed most of the BLM riot charges. But you're right I forgot new one's name. I knew it when I went to vote. I voted for her because she was the one Foxx and our POS governor didn't want to win.

Soft of crime policies is a top down problem for democrats. Kamala shilled for a bail fund and said she wanted to decriminalize border crossings.

There's that power entitlement again
To be fair I'm not saying there aren't valid criticisms of progressive prosecutors but at the same time you can't nominate a felon who pardons 1500 convicted criminals his first day in office and then claim to be tough on crime.

<WellThere>

Seems to be an even bigger top down problem among MAGA given their leader is a felon who then pardoned 1500 convicts his first day in office. He's also carried out unlawful deportations and was held in contempt of court yet not one peep from his party about his lawless behavior.

As it turns out when you actually do the job you're assigned to, there isn't many complaints. <BC1>

Its valid criticism but I think most people are more interested about things that affect them personally day to day.

Most people aren't affected by crime day to day and the community that is most affected by it, the African-American community, votes Democrat by the largest margin.

For MAGA it has much more to do with in-groups and out-groups which is why they think of someone who crossed the border to work as a criminal but not the guy who broke campaign finance laws and was under two different criminal investigations.
