just thought i'd mention to you guys that there is a podium on sale on wayfair for 28% off. it can be all yours for the low low price of $14,599.99. the regular price is $20,272.00. free home delivery and the shipping time is only 8-9 weeks. sweet deal!

there's plenty of other podium's listed in the 5 figure range too! i mean what are they making these things out of for them to be asking 15 grand for? solid gold

i dont know if this is some kind of scam, but i never would have figured that a lectern or podium would cost anywhere near that kind of money. they couldn't be that hard to make and the world ain't out of lumber yet. whats the appeal with these things to have them fetching such a high asking price for just a few pieces of wood?

i dont see what the appeal is for a podium. for around $20,000 USD and tax i could get a podium to put some papers on, or i could get a pretty half decent car in the used market that would drive me around the country. i can't fucking drive a podium from ocean to ocean now can i?
For that kind of money it should incorporate all the needful to be its own sound system, have retractable wheels, all that good shit. But it's still a price that's hard to believe.

I knew a guy that played for good money in those Magic tournaments. I imagine my boys will be into it for sure. I will play along should there be interest but not putting out any money for those things haha. Never heard of Talisman. This type of game will be fun for me and the boys to play when my littlest is older. He's only 3 and we can barely get through any games if he is trying to play a hand.
Man, you really opened a can of worms getting me started talking about old games LOL

edit: and have you tried sitting him in your lap and just having him follow along? Kids pick up a lot of shit that way, I think--he said, having no kids ever.

yeah this one's got wheels. maybe thats what it is. you're paying a hundred bucks for the wood and the rest for the wheels. that podium better be rolling on forgiato's!

And a little door in the podium that opens into a full bar... pre-stocked.

no wonder why joe biden never makes any sense and mitch mcconnell is freezing up lately. it's got a full on bar, pharmacy, and black market drugstore inside of it!

that's gotta be it.

either that or it's got historical collectors value. i'll bet it was the same podium that george santos once stood in front of when he delivered his famous "I have a dream!" speech!

Yet you have a brilliant idea lol. That's likely how my dad did with me. Being as these are my only ones I'm learning as I go. Def gonna do that and it makes sense.

Even though I didnt grow up playing too many board games (beyond a few), it makes me miss the old world where not ALL things were digital and much simpler. I need to make more of an effort here to retain that sort of memory. The two older ones (7,5 years old) can play games on my phone and it means no work for me. But that also means no memories. 2024 resolution: More board games.

Not to mention they're far cheaper lol

Hey @senri wake up, I cooked up some sausage and hashbrowns for us

One is about 2,000 unarmed idiots with the collective IQ of a potato rioting in a public space of the most militarized nation on Earth. The other displaced millions of people, killed hundreds of thousands, killed over 4,000 Americans, and cost us at least a trillion dollars.
Just 2000 idiots spontaneously deciding to attack the Capitol. There was no planning behind it and nobody urged them to go... <YeahOKJen>

I really think that’s how he manipulates people onto voting
His problem is that he rallies his base by villifying half of the country. He has his die hard supporters but there are just as many never Trumpers out there that will vote against him. I know people complain the '20 election was stolen, his die hards, but objectively looking at the results of the elections since '16 and it does seem most of the country is against him. He's really hoping for a Hail Mary here just to stay out of prison.

I don’t think he’s going to prison. He’s too slippery.
