Well, damn. Twilight Zone looks old and crappy for the era. So there. Glad I never played it tbh.Have I ever mentioned Captain Pedantic's cousin, Galaxy Ranger? Were just talking about those games the other day. Your dates are off, just FYI. TNG came out the same year as Twilight Zone, Addams Family was the year before, and Terminator 2 was the year before that, '93, '92, and '91 respectively and Elvira was even earlier. In fact, you have it so perfectly backwards, one is led to the suggestion this was some kind of test. The dates are pretty close though, so perhaps not.
Incidentally, I feel it's worth mentioning, the buttons on those console games didn't start off shitty; they just wore out really fast under relentless punishment from ten-year-olds on coca cola binges.
You should just make the next fred, I probably won't be free when it gets close to 1k.Next thread suggestion.
Pinball or arcade video games?
Do pinball players have good flippers? Do video game players have responsive buttons? We must know.

No not me, I'm not one for the thread-starter spotlight. Unless I can just repost the post above this, maybe. You should just make the next fred, I probably won't be free when it gets close to 1k.

Looks aren't everything when it comes to pinball. Consider,

Addams Family and Twilight Zone introduced new features absent from earlier games. Williams, God bless them, refused to lie down and die for vidya gamez and were committed to innovate until the bitter end, even though they hastened their own demise by creating one of the original classic arcade games,

I mean, Smart Bomb FTW. Not to mention Joust. I could play that fucker till my flapping button broke.
But nothing beats their contributions to pinball.
I give you, "First game to feature Lane Change, which is activated by pressing the right flipper button. First electronic multiball. First animated displays."

Of course, pictures don't do this masterpiece any justice. And the sound, Dolby Digital with bass that made the floor rumble and the effects were a perfect match to the game's space war theme. The free game knock sound sounded like a tree being split by lightning. The first time I set the high score on this was a magical feeling. Fuck video games.

Yeah they're not big on "being processed" for very obvious historical reasons. I have to explain it to ALL new employees because it's so deep-rooted, Pollacks don't even notice they're doing it.... but.... nothing gets done quickly when it comes to processing paperwork, because they have been so terribly destroyed by "quick and efficient record-keeping" in the past.
It's, again, fascinating to watch once you realize it's a sort of macro-psychological state rather than something obtuse or ill-meaning. You do have to remind yourself every time you need to get your Visa or Residency card re-upped though.
You're allowed. Me too, actually, just not as much as the real thing. Microsoft created a very good pinball simulator that replicated real games in such detail, they kept the flaws. There was one game, I can't recall for certain now whether it was 1976 I think, but if you hit one of the targets too softly, the target would drop without the machine registering it as down. I was pretty shocked when the simulator duplicated that.I did love Epic Pinball, though

She's a fox, no wonder they're still holding on to her.
Jokes aside while I generally view Iran as the lesser evil when compared to Saudi Arabia its still important to remember their regime is is still evil.

Anyone seen Joker yet?
I'm a Batman fan and a Joaquin Phoenix fan as well, but I anticipate that I won't care for it. It's my least favorite Joker origin (the failed standup comedian...yeesh), it seems like it's going to be way too telegraphed on on-the-nose, I've never cared for Phillips' previous work, and Phillips seems like a douche bag with his Trumpian commentaries.
It seems like you want to hate the movie for political reasons...
SAD!
I believe that's fake. I saw an article saying there were a bunch of fake signs put up by troll fans.
Joaquin Phoenix does a great job. Pretty damn top notch imo. The problem is with the lazy messaging. No, the world doesn't deserve to get shot because your life sucks a dong.Anyone seen Joker yet?

I knew there was no chance you wouldn't be the first reply to that post.
