I believe that's fake. I saw an article saying there were a bunch of fake signs put up by troll fans.
I really hope at least a few incels got owned by it

I knew there was no chance you wouldn't view a comic book movie(you haven't seen) through a political lens, because that's what Huffpo told you to do...

You're the only one that actively seeks out news to be outraged by. My skepticism about the film isn't political
Meh, I hope not. Just seems like a cruel joke tbh, imagining a nerdy Batman fan seeing that and being turned away after already feeling bad for not having someone to see it with.
LOL, yet you brought "Trumpism" into it for no reason at all. Face it, you saw some articles articles of him complaining about PC culture, and were triggered by it, and decided to hate the movie(that you haven't seen) based on that.
You're so full of shit.
SureCalling the Islamic Republic, or even the House of Saud, "evil" kind of whiffs on an accurate critique of power in my opinion. Both are autocratic and, as such, tend to be reactionary and erratic in their perpetuation of authority and control. However, the Islamic Republic, as far as autocratic regimes go, is fairly liberal and responsive to democratic demands. And, perhaps most importantly, it has an ideological and a national charter. Even as a limited monarchy, it's a step removed (and in the right direction) from the completely autocracy of a hereditary monarchy. Meanwhile, the House of Saud has almost no ideological and national charter, no democratic checks, and no incentive against shorting the national good in favor of corruption.
In short, though, neither are fundamentally evil. They just are what they are. There are few regimes that I can think can be properly described as evil - Nazi Germany and Khmer Rouge are the only that immediately come to mind - and I don't think either cross into the territory, nor do other more brutal autocracies like those of Stalin or Saddam Hussein.
I also think there's a good chance that the Islamic Republic would have receded into a largely symbolic role by now if it wasn't from outside hostility by the United States indirectly shoring up its support and power.
Joaquin Phoenix does a great job. Pretty damn top notch imo. The problem is with the lazy messaging. No, the world doesn't deserve to get shot because your life sucks a dong.
Enjoy your whiskey tide pods
Yeah, me either, really. I just wanted to see Joaquin Phoenix take a stab at it. He did a great job, too. But trying to make the Joker a sympathetic character is just flat retarded.I refuse to see it.
The character has always worked without it. I have no interest in anyone's version of his origin.
Sure

He really nailed it. The laugh was legit uncomfortable to see/hear.Pretty much this. I don't go to the movies much, but recently moved from Hollywood to Burbank and decided to try the nice new theater within walking distance.
Movie was probably a 4/10, with Joaquin doing such a good job, his acting alone boosted it to a 7/10. Go see it if you want to see good acting. Otherwise, it was a simplistic story that was overly telegraphed and kinda boring.
i liked the lazy origin story from the first tim burtin movie if not only for this sceneI refuse to see it.

True. I think Saddam's regime also qualifies.I saw Conspiracy, a BBC movie about the Final Solution, last month. That's a good example of an evil regime.

they also showed him falling in acid and taking over as crime boss iirc, i just wanted to post that pale moonlight quotebut that's not so much an origin of his evil, its just "BTW he was also a cold blooded asshole 20 years ago."
