Man I was hoping Whittaker would take it, mostly because of his personality. He doesn't have the chin he'd need for that game plan to have worked.
Great fight for Adesanya though.
It was probably Hooker that impressed me the most. I thought Iaqinta might be about where he'd top out, but I'd clearly underestimated him.
The Mullarkey-Riddell fight was a just bleed crowd pleaser. I imagine we'll see them again on local cards.

only the best!

Muslim Brotherhood has a ‘significant presence’ in Canada, says study urging probe into the group

TORONTO — The Muslim Brotherhood has established a “significant presence” in Canada, says a study released Tuesday that asks whether the government should follow the lead of the United Kingdom and launch an investigation into the group.

Calling the Brotherhood the “antithesis” of Canadian laws and values, the study urged Ottawa to deny public support and charity status to organizations aligned with the group, which promotes political Islam as an alternative to Western-style democracy.
Oh yeah its the MB that's against democracy even though they helped achieve it in Egypt and used it to get to power. Its the "good guys" like Sisi who murder protestors in the streets by the hundreds and abort elections that are the true advocates of democracy. Gimme a fucking break with this shit. The MB is one of the organizations that does the most to help everyday Muslims across the world in the face of Western sponsored authoritarianism and neoliberal privatization which has left millions upon millions living precarious existences.

Many, many Muslim organizations have some link to the MB or are inspired/influenced by because its organization style has been proven to be highly effective and resilient in the face of brutal authoritarianism. But all the branches are very localized and unique. Some become militant due to their local context like Hamas. But many do not become like that and though they aspire to international cohesion they really don't have it at all.

Even if they are trying to spread their values, so what? What happened to the so called marketplace of ideas? There are Jewish and Christian charitable organizations that try and advocate for a certain religious worldview, should that be denied to Muslims?

Indeed. Can't recall if I posted this earlier so,

US diplomat's wife leaves UK after becoming suspect in fatal road crash
Harry Dunn, 19, died after collision near Northamptonshire air force base

The wife of a US diplomat has left the UK after becoming a suspect in an investigation into the death of a motorcyclist involved in a fatal road collision, police said.

Harry Dunn, 19, died after his motorbike and a car collided near RAF Croughton in Northamptonshire on 27 August.

Northamptonshire police said a 42-year-old American woman who was being treated as a suspect in their investigation had left the UK.

The foreign secretary, Dominic Raab, said he had called the US ambassador to “express the UK’s disappointment that she had left the country.

“I wish to offer my condolences to the family affected by this tragic incident,” he said.

Supt Sarah Johnson said the suspect had previously told the force she did not intend to “leave the country in the near future”.

My guess is that she was told to leave. It probably was not her decision. She was PNGed by either the Ambassador or Deputy Chief of Mission.

The Telegraph says she pulled out on the wrong side of the road and claimed diplomatic immunity.
Diplomatic Immunity is not something she can claim.

She entered the country on a diplomatic visa. Therefore, she has been granted diplomatic immunity.

Someone who is on diplomatic status cannot waive his/her immunity. It's not their's to wave.

My pinball love came a little later I think. Addams Family, Terminator 2, Elvira, and Star Trek TNG were the ones I would go infinite on. They were pretty easy but also just lots of fun.

Come on down to the Maui County Fair tonight guys, I’ll be slinging my famous chow funn with all funds to go to Wailuku Hongwanji Mission.

I trust you’ll all be there to show your support :D

Have I ever mentioned Captain Pedantic's cousin, Galaxy Ranger? Were just talking about those games the other day. Your dates are off, just FYI. TNG came out the same year as Twilight Zone, Addams Family was the year before, and Terminator 2 was the year before that, '93, '92, and '91 respectively and Elvira was even earlier. In fact, you have it so perfectly backwards, one is led to the suggestion this was some kind of test. The dates are pretty close though, so perhaps not.

Incidentally, I feel it's worth mentioning, the buttons on those console games didn't start off shitty; they just wore out really fast under relentless punishment from ten-year-olds on coca cola binges.
