Liking this post for needle value, but also quoting it and pointing out that I liked it. For value.
He apparently has me on ignore now for a lack of substantive debate/spamming.
In the awards thread.

Yeah or a translator set to retard.

I have basic knowledge of retardese. A common rule of thumb is that if they groan incomprehensibly they are hungry, but if they roll around while groaning incomprehensibly, they are in pain and should be put out of their misery. It's the only humane thing to do.

  • Best All Around Poster: In terms of output and quality; @Jack V Savage.
  • Worst All Around Poster: There's a lot of candidates for this one, but I don't really remember the names. @dontsnitch is a very bad one I remember. He just tip toes around his abhorrent worldview (though I can see he has now publicly endorsed Thurisaz, so I guess he is more open with it now), and always derail the thread into some emotional meltdown where he pouts about "ad hominems" and "straw men". Insufferable imo.
  • Best Shit Poster: @ripskater. No contest really.
  • Best Threads: @Arkain2K. @Happiness has been doing some great ones lately as well.
  • Worst Threads: No idea. I don't pay attention to the bad posters.
  • Best Liberal Shill and Best Conservative Hack: I don't know about liberal or conservative, but the most stubborn poster who has to twist every argument into his narrow ideology award goes to @Greoric.
  • Most Racist: @Thurisaz. The guy quotes H.P. Lovecraft to support his view on race, and he is pretty much on par with Breivik in his rheroric towards the current immigration status in Europe. A very vile human being overall. I nominate him not because he is the most blatantly racist, but because he is seemingly intelligent and is much more deliberate, analytical and cynical in his racism than the usual mouth breathers here.

Not really, you are just a smug asshole who thinks way to highly of himself that I am quite sure I won't learn anything from. I gave you my perspective and you gave me some stupid FAQ comment, so you are the one lashing out here. I have plenty of libertarians on this board that are smarter than u to engage with, that god awful homer debate has me sure of that. So it's no loss to me if you want stay in your bubble making mastubatory posts about how great you are, carry on.
*too

I can rename it. Someone else needs to come up with the list of noms and maybe I guess make the poll for the best poster since it's the main one

You can split all the senseless bickering out now and then add the multi-poll to this nomination thread later, after the TS came up with the tallies!

Any attemp to tally up the nominees is a virtual impossibility in this heap of garbage, and I highly doubt @Limbo Pete has the patient or time for that, lol.

What do you mean?

What do you mean?

1) Move all the bickerings to a new thread, entitled "War Room Awards 2016 - The Great Debate"
2) Rename this thread "War Room Awards 2016 - Nominations Only!", all future posts that aren't nominations will be moved to the discussion thread.
3) Add the muti-polls to this thread once the nomination period is complete (I'm assuming by year end). You can then re-merge the two threads together after the tally is done.

I have done something like that on another forum where I'm a moderator, and it's the only way that the TS can tally the nominations quickly and painlessly without digging through the mud.

If the compulsory funded monopoly wasn't such a pervasive leviathan, then the topics that include getting it out of the way wouldn't be so expansive.

Do we just need the tally for best poster?

@Limbo Pete , are you going tally the noms?

I could do that later tonight or tomorrow no prob

You don't have to do it now, as the nominations are still coming in.

Set a deadline for nominations (perhaps on Christmas), then make the tally after @Lead cleared the spam from this thread up for you, then we can vote from Christmas til New Year, and then we'll have our 2016's winners and losers on New Year's Day!

Has anybody ever actually won a Sherdog End of the Year Award??

I was gonna start and just keep a running count until whenever. Your idea is better tho lol. I suppose it depends on if Lead wants to put the hose to this thread and wash out the filth. Deadline being Christmas/new years sounds good.

You're awfully bossy all the time. Are you secretly a chick?

This marks my third year in the WR, and it shall be the first time the adults hold a democratic vote for the nominations, after the tantrum-prone children finished throwing their food around the room.

It is time, ladies and gentlemen, to Make the War Room Great Again!

It's not actually a ground-breaking idea, I learned it the hard way :D

That first week of tallying the points in the TUF 20 Fantasy League was a fucking nightmare, until I had the (often off-topic) discussion moved to a separate thread, and the weekly discussions no longer drowns out the official weekly picks. Tallying the scores as they comes in was a breeze from there on out. :)

I won conservative of the year award a few years back, I thought it was cool at the time, its much easier not to give a shit what everyone thinks though.

As addicting as this place is, its not to be taken seriously
