Oh ok. Pseduo vacation day for winning a bs exercise actually sounds pretty great. Lot better than a coupon for a cafeteria meal or some shit.

We has no cafeteria here, but yeah, day off is pretty nice.

There will probably be a time limit for when I can use it by though since it's Admin leave. Hopefully it's not before the end of the 2019 calendar year as that will be a hard sell to use it by then.

i just got Xmas Eve off as a Federal Holiday for employees

We only get Xmas day. Because Utah has some goofy Pioneer Day in July that they take off.

Next year I'm putting in for Xmas Eve or Boxing Day off in like February... whichever is closer to the weekend.

So far that's two raises, an extra Federal Holiday, and a performance bonus since he took office

i received zero raises in 3 years in the previous administration that weren't promotion related, not every government employee gets annual raises despite what some in the WR will surely tell you (only budgeted, mostly GS, get the annual raise. Non Appropriated Funds, the vast majority of the DoD civilian workforce do not unless explicitly chosen for it.....)

I think we get annual raises based on the date we started. But it's also dependent on the county budget.

Passaic, N.J. — A 13-year-old boy from New Jersey has been charged with assault after allegedly punching out a 35-year-old woman. She said the boy had bullied her son with racist taunts.

The brutal attack on Beronica Ruiz-Vazquez last Wednesday left her with fractures to her face and nose. One week later, she can barely see out of her right eye.

Pictures were taken while she laid in a hospital bed for two days. The mother of three says while walking with her son home from school, a 7th grader from her son's school punched her in the face on a busy street in Passaic, New Jersey.

The family says the student, who is African-American, and others were bullying her son at school the day before.

"They said all Mexicans should be behind the wall," said Alfonso Vazquez, Beronica's husband.

"The Passaic schools cannot make comment with regard to student matters involving a juvenile. Details are under investigation."

Now the family says they are now considering moving for fear of their safety.

Nothing wrong with letting the wifey decorate the house. Easy way to have her happy if that's what she likes, and what do I care about how the home is decorate so long as it isn't pink floral wallpaper?

Yeah. Never really heard of it before. This place actually follows through on valuing home/work balance, not just saying it. They also give 4 weeks off of Paternal leave to bond with infant and give mom a break.

Baffling with all this they have beyond shitty Healthcare plans

There's a pension that the county puts money into for us and we can also elect to take some out and put it in and choose a plan for how it's invested. I didn't do that yet as I'd rather have the take home money right now to pay off some debt but probably during the next open enrollment that is in November of 2020 or the one in like June of 2021 I will start taking money out of my check for it.

I don't think they match... or if they do it's only to a certain level.
