Flipflopping between administrations on major foreign policy like that doesn't exactly strengthen the US ability for negotiations. Of course Trump also gutted the State Department. He couldn't even get an ambassador here to Australia until 2019. Not a priority for him, he'd just alienate America's allies and make deals with all the corrupt dictators (while cancelling any "deals" anyone else had made because he's sure he can squeeze the deals for more money and liked to shit on their achievements).

I am pretty sure the Reagan government was the first to not support raising the minimum wage, which had been supported as a bipartisan necessity, tied to mirroring inflation, for decades prior.
Of course Reagan believed in trickle down economics, which basically said give all the money to the rich as they will create jobs with it, and then they poor will do better which has been what Republi'cans' have fought for ever since. Along with repealing child labor laws as more and Republican States are now eagerly trying to get laws passed to allow children to do some of the most dangerous jobs, to undo those damned meddling child protections meddlesome librulz support.
