Wanna get into BJJ, how much does your school charge

Remember Me? said:
Holy shit. It's almost 90 dollars just for 5 classes of BJJ where I'm looking.

Ohh, bleh...I frogot. I train 4 1/2 hours a day on weekdays, and 3 on saterday. Classes are only 6 days a week damnit.

ILoveShamrock, is it $60 FOR ONLY 4X A MONTH, OR $60 FOR 4x aweek. $60 for 4x a month is a scam.

Your school is ripping you off.

Benefits of training at my academy homie

1. Classes are taught by De La Riva/Monteiro Black belt Sergia Silva 99% of the time 6 days a week twice a day excluding saturdays. Alot of classes at other academies in the bay area have purples and browns teaching the classes.

2. Great Environment with a open door policy hence the name. Hardly any injuries with great instruction.

3. Have you seen the prices in the bay area for jiu jitsu? This is the cheapest in the san francisco bay area for sure. The only one I think who charges close or to the same amount is Royler Gracie Black Belt eduardo rocha who just opened his own academy. Besides our two schools, everything else is hella expensive, like 125-175 monthly...

1. That is awesome that there is a black belt that teaches 99% of the time. But, I think that purples and browns are not going to make much of a difference compared to black when teaching white belts how to do techniques... (But I'm not assuming you're a white belt). I'm just saying, I think being a black belt instructor matters most as you move higher and higher up the ranks in jiu jitsu.

2. That's good.

3. I didn't know... yikes, that is expensive.

We charge 20 euros (25 dollars a month for 3x week) and so 50 dollars for 6 days a week.

I train with Suyan Queiroz from Brazilian Top Team at Brazilian Top Team-Kansas City, in a small school in KC Missouri. 6 Days a week, Almost all BJJ with some MMA, Muay Thai mixed in if you want and it's $25 a month for BTT-KC.

20$ a month 3x a week under an Alliance purple. In addition to that I have to pay 20$ a month for the gym it's inside.

Kansas City seems like ae pretty random place for a BTT place. (No offense, that's awesome though).

All of their locations in the united states seem to be kind of random, but who knows why the members chose these places.

Here is a link that shows where they have trainning facilities all over the world...

I don't know where you're located but that's a reasonable price for most reputable black belt instructors here.

where in ca are you? Your school sounds dirt cheap. I'm no pro so quality doesn't matter to me right now. not saying your school isn't quality, I just want to start out really cheap.

$120/month unlimited (up to 4-5 classes a week)

I can only do 2x a week, and pay $80/month for that.
