Wanderlei Silva gets lifetime ban

I think its BS rly, I just don't care about PEDs in sports. Why would I hate something that makes the sport better? Cops abuse steroids like crazy yet nobody talks about that, that actually hurts the real world.

Where the heck told you that?

I've heard my entire life the exact opposite, it's better to fail than to refuse to take the test.

Refusing to take is both an automatic fail and shows lack of respect (like you're not even man enough to stand up and face the music)

I've actually heard from lawyers that you shouldn't, because then they have no evidence or proof that you did what they say you did.

On the other hand, if you go that route, they will prosecute you so much harder that you're likely to wish you had taken the test.

wand does what every fighter does

he just got caught and ran...

they should sincere the sport

He's only banned from Nevada guys, he's free to get a licence from any other state

Employers don't get to decide how a person makes their living. That's fucking insane.

They're not deciding anything.

He already has a gym.

He already licences his name and likeness for a clothing line.

He receives income from both of those things. He also likely gets paid by his sponsors for appearances and by other fighters as a training partner.

He is getting income from these things. Income = earning a living. That's all the UFC has to say if he tries to claim this in court.

Yes, "facts." Your perception about things are not considered facts by anyone but yourself.

You are not entitled disbelieve in facts. They simply are, and don't change or go away because you don't like them.

The other states will uphold the ban, or at least the fine. The AC's work together. Otherwise why would any fighter abide by the decisions of any AC if he can just skip on to the next one?

They are not facts in any way no matter how much you want them to be from your confused misconception of reality.

oh I see.. you're talking about the actual justice system.

Yes, thanks to legal loopholes, when it comes to dealing with real police and courts, there are some cases where it's better to run than fail

but this isn't the legal system where people are deciding whether or not to throw someone in jail, this is a sport in which people are expected to follow certain rules and guidelines

and the idea behind drug test is very different for the two

So the fact that UFC fighter contracts state that the UFC does not have to schedule a fighter who is under suspension is not a fact?

I don't agree with it. But Wanderlei put himself in this whole mess.

have you not been following MMA very closely the last few years?

The state commissions have become extremely cooperative. These days usually when one of the major commissions makes a rule, the rest of them follow it.

Even Brazil almost always goes based on what the nevada athletic commission says.

There's a reason that just about a week after one major athletic commission banned TRT, they all banned TRT.

Besides, The UFC absolutely respects the decision of athletic commissions and has sworn it would never pull any "letting banned fighter fight in japan" type bullshit

most other major orgs try to follow UFC's example on that
