Oh you're going to see how it lasts 88 episodes, and why so many in this thread consider it to be in the Top #3 shows of all time even almost a quarter century later.

I will say this... The Shield put FX on the map and throughout its run it has a shoestring budget in comparison to network shows. It's success and Golden Globe wins can be attributed to two factors - high quality standards for acting for every that ever appears onscreen & high quality standards for storylines for singular episodes and stretch across the entire seasons.

There's numerous 'shit hit the fan' storylines between the beginning and end. Some characters get what they deserve, some characters get far beyond what they deserve, a few characters get a fraction of what they deserve.... And one character prospers.

Its so crazy already. Most shows take a longer setup. This one dives 2 feet in. I like it
