Look at Dos santos,he's huge.Kicks are way more powerful than punches,the difficulty is in landing them.

yes, kicks are exactly what he needs to beat a wrestler like Cain.
Cause he doesn't want to be taken down. Saturday he could do it because a hurt Hunt wasnt going to take him down anyways.

He just doesn't use his kicks often, but he does have good kicks and knees. Relies much to his punching because its working

JDS kicks are really good. I hope he uses them more often now. But Cain is not really the guy to start that. But knees could be very useful. And he should be not as afraid to get taken down. He can get back up at will. Problem is he panics to much when the fight hits the ground.

Then he knocks out 2 top-10 guys in Bisping and Rockhold with high kicks. I'm pretty sure JDS took a note from those fights. I'm pretty sure he watched the Belfort fights. But what made it easier was the fact that Hunt was pretty tired and slow. When a fighter becomes a stationary target, it's obviously a lot easier to land those spinning kicks. Can't wait for JDS x Velasquez 3!

not true at all, on his old highlights video you can see ,JDS going for low kicks,high kicks,soccer kicks and flying shit.
Going way back, huh? Genki threw a lot of spinning stuff, but used the spinning punch more often.
Anyway, I definitely agree with your assessment of the JDS x Velasquez 2 fight. What really surprised me was that JDS was gassed and hurt for much of the fight and still Cain could not finish him. I definitely see a third fight going JDS' way.

Cain was pacing himself. He didn't want to burn himself out going for a finish. No heavyweight can fight five rounds at the pace Cain set in the first.
