So, as a leftist, I don't think either candidate really represents what I actually want. The choice is between a center- right corporatist and a far right corporatist/fascist. This has essentially always been the case ti some degree (I don't think that the majority of pre-Trump Republicans were fascists, but they were undeniably corporatists), and I think it's unlikely to change at any point in the foreseeable future. I'm still voting for Harris.
As skeptical as I am of electoral politics in general, I still see the need to engage with it as a form of harm reduction. I don't think Harris will actually improve anything, but I'm pretty certain that Trump will make things worse. If nothing else, I think a Harris victory still allows people to organize and engage in mutual aid at a local level, whereas Trump will, without a doubt in my mind, crack down on grassroots organizing.
