Aldo was able to reclaim the title after the guy who beat him moved up.

People either don't remember or didn't follow Aldos prime.

Faber won the WEC title, the won NINE straight as the WEC champ, when that was the premier title in the land.

Aldo DEMOLISHED him.

The guy that took that title off of Faber, Mike Thomas Brown, the mastermind of ATt one of the most successful gyms in mma history

Aldo DEMOLISHED him too.

Aldo as 23 was destroying the best featherweights in the game, and then continued doing that for years.

Volk has had a tremendous career. He is getting close to Aldo.

But he is still a good deal behind on numbers and if you want to make the "his wins are better" ... are they? Maybe a LITTLE, but absolutely no way in hell are they 2x better which is where they would need to be for Volks 7 title fights wins to be better than Aldos 11.
