Not a good look for Vivek at least at this juncture, but maybe it will pan out.
However its far worse for "DOGE" and a very dumb move if Musk pressured him out; it will never be accepted if it looks just like Musks personal project, Vivek was a kind of cover that gave it more credibility with two at the helm, now that is gone the 'department' looks just like what it was - a Musk pet project. That lowers its legitimacy much less than it had even before.
