In what world is being on a 5 fight win streak with 4 kos (only decision is a fight fought with broken hand) = struggling?

N on top of that 3/4 of those kos were in 1st round (the other being in 2nd round)

during that streak he beat lindland n Franklin (both 1st round kos)

The clear drop in performance is only visible after vitor is no longer allowed to take trt (before his weidman fight).

That’s when vitor goes 2-5 with only one win being a ko finish (45 year old hendo)

I'm speculating that the way the TRT ban was handled permanently messed up Vitor's endocrine (hormone) system. Normally when a guy gets off long stretches of using steroids, he'll take a bunch of medications that get everything working right again. The commission just banned TRT and all those drugs are banned too. They didn't make an exception for the people who needed to get healthy again. So I don't think Vitor did. The drop off he had wasn't just to normal levels, it was worse than that.

Whatever momentum he had during that streak was gone with his injury, surgery and 16 month layoff. If you know fighting you should know this.

So all in all, he looked softer, wasn't on TRT and had no momentun. Doesn't matter how much you try to spin it, that version of Vitor was a far cry from the Vitor who wrecked Rockhold, Bisping and Henderson.

2007-2009 Vitor struggled with a can. TRT Vitor destroyed elite fighters in seconds. That's the difference.

And vs. Anderson he had zero momentum.

Records don't necessarily translate into skill. There's more to it (performances, opponents, momentum, etc.). All which were better when he was on TRT.

Anderson was caught once, at the end of his career and after a devastating injury. Vitor was controversial starting from his first pro fight and for most of his career.

Anderson failed 2 drug tests. First after the Diaz fight and again before the gastelum fight.
