International Virus outbreak in China (and elsewhere)

Wuhan is now Racoon City.

Also, any infected asshole who fought back against mandatory quarantine during a national medical emergency and ends up tearing the medical personel's hazmat suits in the process should face attempted murder charges if they manage to recover from the virus.

If there are more selfish people like that, I'm not gonna be against using tranquilizer on the resisting infected prior to moving them out, to be honest.
The numbers of Chinese moving abroad says it all, they’re all bunch of coward and disrespectul scums. The same people who have the audacity to scream racism when people keep their distance from them, the burning kitchen “this is fine” meme perfectly sum up everything about them and you wonder why one of the worst plagues in history came from China. Stay where you are before putting everyone at risk.

Drug companies say that finding the CV cure isn't going to be easy.

"Feb 5 (Reuters) - Drugmakers racing to find a vaccine or effective treatment for the deadly new coronavirus in China cautioned that they have a long way to go.

That runs counter to reports of a supposed "breakthrough" that on Wednesday boosted financial markets and spurred optimism not necessarily backed by reality.

At least a dozen drugmakers are working on vaccines or antivirals and other treatments to help those infected with the fast-spreading contagion."

Suspected case from a lawyer who reunited with some chinese people 7 days ago... 3 miles away from my house. Checked in a few hours ago in a hospital and was already put in isolation protocol and they are running tests. Hopefully it's nothing.
Stupid lawyer.

There were a few other cases of suspects who got isolated too, and the tests came back negative.

RIP SalvadorAllende I guess
It's just a flu bro

28365 now, 565 dead

That is an increase in both infections and deaths. Some top Virologist in Wuhan is expecting it to peak in 10 days and then he didn’t say it it would remain steady or come down. But 10 days is over 100K.

I want to leave this here for anyone interested. I haven't watched but the first few minutes so far, but I will finish it after this post. I saw on Reddit with comments about the speaker. His credentials are below.

Edit: Adding a couple main points so far for those not wanting to watch this shit.

He thinks China is only detecting about 10% of cases. Likely 50k+ new infections daily there.
We are detecting 25% of international cases now. Borders are porous and people will get through.
This virus will be much harder to contain than SARS.
Edit: This virus is much more transmissible thanks SARS according to current data.
Vaccine will take months or years to develop.
China is focusing on severe cases, while people with minor symptoms are the ones spreading the virus.

Africa just got test kits. I wonder if it’s the same for LATAM?
IDK how they tested this dude but there is a shit ton of people with cold and flu because the temperature went from almost 40°C to 20°C to almost 40°C again (104F to 68F to 104F) and we are all sleeping the ACs on during the nights because the temparature is like 30ºC (86F). Fuck it.. tonight is going to rain and the temperature will be lower again.

Edit: Luckly our healthcare system is not that terrible here.

I know, right? I wasn't even going to click that shit and then I thought, let me just check his credentials. Seems pretty legit.
If he is right nobody should be allowed to leave there. They are fucked either way as their economy is taking a shit kicking, whatever death toll they incure will not put them anywhere near a low population status though. If this guy is correct I can see this killing a hundred thousand in Asia and a few thousand worldwide.
