International Virus outbreak in China (and elsewhere)

Basic cross contamination and preservation protocols have been known for centuries now. Its why this shit rarely comes from Latin America because even though they are poor, they are smart enough to burn the shit out of questionable consumables
That's true for most of the world, I mean look at how crowded and poor India is, yet these viruses tend to come from China or nearby regions.

You would think for a nation that is the 2nd biggest economy in the world , and manufacturing producing the latest consumer electronics goods, they would have enough sense to stop practices that have caused outbreaks. But no, they keep doing the same ole shit.

Read this on a YouTube news video on the virus:

Everyone gangsta until a Chinese person coughs .

So the numbers out of China have me thinking and maybe someone with more free time could work this out.

How does 50 million people under quarantine have 2000 confirmed cases yet there are at least 50 confirmed cases in people who’ve left the country since this all started? I guess you’d need to know the number of people who’ve left China since and you could work your way back but from that to figure out if the official total is real or not.

Based on the ratio and bad math, 1.25mm would had to have left since the start. Yes I’m aware we have no clue the number of possible exposed.

China fudges numbers on the flu all the time, I'm sure they are underreporting this too.

The USA should ban flights from China, this shit sounds scary.

I wouldn't think that. Superstition is hard to get rid of. Look at our own country. We are a shitload more educated and richer on a personal basis, but you still get superstition causing problems with disease.

Our healthcare and public health systems keep this all pretty minor, but the people are still around. Think of the anti vaccination people. Jehovah's witnesses being against transfusions. Crystal healers. "Alternative medicine", etc.

Rub some mud on your lungs and walk it off.

Sounds like this is more contagious than previously thought and China won't be able to contain it. Genie is out of the bottle.

Good news it only kills a small subset of a small subset. Basically only a small portion will actually get sick enough to go to the hospital, and of those only a small portion (old people) will actually die.

Could put a big damper on economy and price of oil if travel and trade is limited by this.

Superstition yes, but this virus incident is about unsanitary food consumption and animal containement practices , along with eating all manner of non-domesticated animals. After SARS and Avian flu you would think they would have changed their behavior.

Eating rat isn't weird. Many different countries and cultures eat it.

I've had rat several times myself in Thailand. It actually tastes very good. They sell it BBQ on the roadside in the north east.

I also had Cuy in Peru last year, which is a guinea pig.

EDIT: just watched the video, they are alive? Lol okay, that's a bit strange. Chinese are obsessed with freshness of food and eat a lot of shit alive

I was thinking something more like this

Again, I dont expect people to follow common sense safety standards until FORCED.

Ive wondered for a while if Chinas disregard for individual lives is somehow based on their enormous population. They have 52M people quarantined? Thats more than most of the worlds nations yet still a small percentage of theirs. Always another cog for the machine is easy to assume as an outlook.

If this guy from Wuhan just disappears, you know why.

It's not even top10 in the weirdest shit I've eaten list.

It's actually good meat. The only negative is that there isn't a lot of meat on it and it has bones, so it's a bit trickier to eat. The taste is really good.

Sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie. But I'd never know cuz I wouldn't eat the filthy motherfucka.

Nothing is going to happen to him. He is attacking the local govt not the CCP central govt. I think he is related to someone within the circle of a previous ruling leader. He makes a lot of videos shitting on local govt but nothing ever happens to him.

It's not sewer rat, it's rats from the rice fields. Pretty big difference

That's pretty common all over SE Asia. I would assume africa and south america too, but never been to those place .
True. But dang if China doesn't do it on an industrial scale, but with the reckless abandon of third world nations.
Probably why India is largely vegetarian. Otherwise they'd have crazy epidemics all the time

Nurse in Wuhan saying that 90,000 are infected, and that if not properly quarantined they think each carrier will infect 14 more people.

If it is spreading at that rate, the genie is already out of the bottle.

Say goodbye to 3% of the world's population.
