The steam forum for the game became a cesspool of woke and anti woke trolling and clown emoji bait after a leaked screenshot of a black NPC in the game. Real low level trolling that almost certainly went against steams TOS
There weren't any regular threads regarding the game on the first 2 pages of the forum for days.
I'm not sure what else the mods could have done.
Game looks dope as fuck and I can't wait to play it.

Didn't buy the 1st game and had no plans to buy the sequel.

From what I understand they're making the new sequel, which uses the same main character as the original, have an optional gay romance so the game will qualify for game awards.

And from what I've vaguely heard of the backlash from gamers canceling their pre-orders its a bold strategy cotton let's see if it works out for them.

Theres gay romance and supposedly a black man that’s a feminist. The devs have started to push back recently on the loud antiwoke crowd on Twitter. This has been pissing some people off saying they will no longer support it. Honestly if people bash games like assassins creed shadows for having gay romance then they also shouldn’t play this. People like Grummz have been criticized for not being consistent. Personally though I think in an rpg choices are always a good thing.
