As I said in my original post, the entertainment industry is plagued with woke activists. You can gaslight all you want, but it's gotten so bad that a genuine passion project like Tales of Kenzera is collateral damage before it even launches just because of its affiliation with SBI. That didn't happen 10 years ago. Some games failed due to bad marketing/poor launch dates, but most either thrived or died on its merits. Look at Flintlock and Unknown 9. As soon as word got out that they were SBI consulted titles, they never stood a chance, even if they were good games. I only played Flintlock of the two and it's mediocre at best. Despite the race swapped MC, it's not even woke.

You can argue it’s not a good game but she does have a character arc. You’re doing the meme “everything I don’t like is woke.” You only mention the failures (which were just bad games, not woke) and conveniently leave out the so called woke games that ended up being successful in recent years like the remake of silent hill 2 as the most recent example. Also regarding games a long time ago , those games came out when there wasn’t reactionary grifters. Released today they’d receive the same scrutiny. I’m not sure it GTA would because the grifters usually choose games they think will fail. Why waste your time on all this stuff anyway? It's just that I've tried so many times to give these people the benefit of the doubt but whenever you press them on the subject they fail to point out any legitimate criticisms. It almost always goes back to there being one of two things. Either they can't jerk off to the female characters or there's too many dark skinned characters. The guy I'm arguing with said that wokeness and DEI are plaguing the industry yet he is flailing and can't even come up with a basic list of games and reasons as to why they are. The games that are woke go completely under the radar. Funny thing is a recent release called Metaphor ReFantazio is actually kind of woke. It touches heavily upon themes of inequality and trying to create a society which is more inclusive of everyone. I haven't played the game myself but I've heard many comments about this. It gets a free pass from the antiwoke crowd because its anime style and they don't actually read anything. They are only capable of making the most surface level criticisms. Until I see well-thought out arguments I'm going to stand by my position.

To he honest I’ve been much more civil towards him than the other way around. All I ask for is how do you define these terms and examples from multiple games. He couldn’t do that so for now I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s just a bunch of whiners that hate games without content they can jerk off to or not enough white characters.

Yeah I was a little over the top too. Maybe it’s my frustration of seeing how every part of the internet has been taken over by antiwoke discussions and it feels like there’s less people that want to talk about the games themselves. Anyway final point is the gaming industry is pretty big. You can simply avoid games that you think are woke by sticking to Japanese and other games from foreign countries. If you look at my post history I play mostly those games anyway. They seem to focus more on just making a fun game

Well you are right to an extent. There ARE racists out there talking about it to further their shit agenda. That is absolutely true. The thing is how much of the bitching about DEI is actually because of it?

Anecdotal crap, but, my brother in laws and myself agree with a lot of the DEI points brought up by some folks. I possibly get labeled racist, but my BILs, who agree and are black, do not. Makes one contemplate whether those who think it is NOT happening, somehow have their own bias, and use that racist card to downplay it, or push their own agenda.
