Merab seems to have gone out at least 3x during this sequence. Agreed with a poster above, he went out on contact when he struck his head and was out as Ricky flipped him to his back to take mount. He went out again shortly after, and I think he was out when the fight ended (but his legs were moving robotically)

I think the stoppage was a good call.

Actually i have a question, as im not that knowledgable in the grappling side of things, what does moving your legs like riding a bike help with getting choked out?

If anything, doesn't that steal energy/blood?

Simon rightfully won. Merab was out and then played it off. Can't get saved by the bell. He was put twice in a minute. Bad luck for sure but a good call. I would love to see them rematch down the road. Simon usually is the one pushing the pace. Merab is insane.

Merab shits on him once again. I don't like to use the word fluke win, but this is about as fluke of a win as you can get in MMA

I have never done grappling but how can you be unconscious from the choke, but still move/hit your legs?

About the "the fighter must get back to his seat after the fight"
Then OSP, O'Malley and Rory all lost by KO/TKO vs Reyes, Soukhamthath & Lima?
If I remember right, they couldn't return to their seat.

Merab seems to get up after the bell, then the doctor rushed over him and he decided to stay on the floor, believing he was getting a decision win anyway.

Now, someone should open another thread showing how Merab vs Frankie Saenz was actually a robbery and Merab is undefeated in UFC and 11-0 actually... (this is a joke, I don't remember that fight)
