Throwback Video: The controversial ending between Merab Dvalishvili and Ricky Simon

Simon rightfully won. Merab was out and then played it off. Can't get saved by the bell. He was put twice in a minute. Bad luck for sure but a good call. I would love to see them rematch down the road. Simon usually is the one pushing the pace. Merab is insane.

Merab dominated him for three rounds even knocked him down

This was a terrible call from the judges. This scenery proves why the UFC is fixed and corrupt.
The referee didn’t interfere before the belt. it should have never be judged as a tko.
The referee was right there in their face and didn’t interfere before the belt.
How in the world can it be a tko after the belt?

as much I would like Simon to have won this. This is terrible judging.
It’s irrelevant if he was out after the bell. What matters is that the referee didn’t interfere and it should have went to decision.

this is the reason why.
If this happened in the second round. Let’s say this exact moment was at the end of the second round.
There is no way these ‘judges’ would have declared it a TKO in between round two and three. They would see that he was not there 100%. But after a couple seconds he was fine. He would go to his corner and fight the third round.

This scenery proves how much judges just make things up to favour fighters.

Do you understand how MMA officiating works? Are you a straight up troll? Are you 12 years old? I'm deeply conflicted on how to receive your attempt at a message here.

You do realize that the judges had absolutely nothing to do with it being called a TKO, right? That was 100% the official in the ring.

Merab got choked unconscious and lost the fight. A definitive ending. Nothing controversial about that at all

This has happened before and if a fighter is choked unconscious at the end of a round the fight is over no matter what round it ended in. Doesn't matter if it's 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 it's over and you went out at some point.

Looked like a legit win to me

Hard to see if he went out or if the doctors are pushing him down imo. Because the docs are all over him as soon as the bell rings.

He's also on his way up at this point. So he is concious when the bell rings either way.

Um, if you go unconscious in between rounds two and three, the fight is definitely getting stopped.
