well, it's semantics really. I think anytime you work against resistance, it's strength training. When you fail at rep 50 during a conditioning drill, people say you gas but you fail because you literally don't have the strength to lift that weight at that time. Strength and conditioning are related. JDS calls it strength, he was lifting bunch of weight at a lot of reps but where's the line between strength and conditioning 15rep max, 10 rep max, 5, 3, 1? I think it's an American thing.

I bet he can deadlift 600lbs + for a one rep max in all seriousness, he looks very strong when he fights.

for sure. All you have to do is look at his physique. His shoulders and chest are unremarkable but look at his middle and lower back and glutes. They bulge out. It tells me he has a very strong posterior chain. That's the key to over strength and power. He must have done a lot of squats, deadlifts and similar exercises.
