Vertical training for Muay Thai?

Kelly Baggett is a good guy. I read this book a while ago - it's nothing earth shattering but it'll give a good understanding of the necessity for limit strength and RFD work to increase your vert.

If it has oly lifting, give it a go. If if doesn't, and claims to help speed and force production, ditch it.

Why is that? O-lifting isn't the only way to improve RFD.

What's your strength like (numbers)?

I may follow one of the routines along with my 5-3-1. I would have to lower the volume though.

I do some plyometrics like depth jumps and others. I believe it helps.

my numbers are shit. I don't know what they are exactly, back squat is probably in the middle range 200s, deadlift is probably around 300, and bench I don't even do. I have no squat rack so I have to do front squats, and clean the weight from the floor. Yesterday I only did 3 sets of 10 with 135. The program I'm on says 3 sets of 10 with the same weight, so that's what I'm doing. I'll do it with 145 or 155 next week. Front squats are way the fuck harder for me than back, so that's why the numbers are so low. Plus, like I said, I have to clean the weight up, which is severely limiting.

By the way, I weigh 190lbs, so that makes those numbers especially bad. But I'm also about 6'2, so I guess you could say I'm fairly scrawny. My vertical right now is around 27 inches. I thought it was 31, but then I realized I was measuring my standing reach with my arm not FULLY reaching, lol sigh.....better to be honest though

I meant the thread starter cause I wanted to make sure he was planning on doing the right program from the book.

EDIT: I would lower the reps you do on front Squats. They seem to be a better exercise for the lower rep ranges, especially since you're cleaning your first rep. Maybe try 5 reps.
