It’s certainly possible. Shevchenko is not infallible, even though many seem to crown her the most complete human being ever :rolleyes: plus she’s already been talking about 135. Making plans when current plans haven’t been finished yet.

it’s an uphill battle for Santos, that’s for sure.

Nunes vs Pena was different. Pena has a good ground game, huge jaw / chin (has never been KO'd), and doesn't give af if she gets hit. she came in with a good gameplan of using the jab to beat nunes' hooks.

Valentina had to cheat, headbutt Santos, to steal the fourth and fifth round because she was getting her ass kicked for the first three rounds.

Next time Santos knocks Valentina out.

I mean this dude literally called it, one judge was just hittin the flask too hard tonight. majority of shevs strikes where while she had her neck wrapped up. Only damage she did was from a headbutt and the headkick that came off the groin strike. other than that she had a couple light combos, does not override being out scrambled taken down and wearing a backpack for like 7 minutes. I say this as a fan of shev. I think this could've been a learning experience for her and she could have come back and fought with risk, to the full extent of her ability. Disappointed with her tonight.

It was clear as day Santos won the first 3 rounds. The only people saying otherwise are big fans of Valentina which I can see why. She is awesome, but I promise you that this will be in the top 5 of robberies this year, not number one, but you will see it.

losing alot.

Santos did win 3-2 according to most online judging panels (including Sherdog) as well as the MMA fighters posting on twitter (RDA, Brunson, Angela Hill, Bilal etc.) that Santos won and was robbed.

Valentina did not enjoy meaningfully more striking success than Santos until the headbutt which closed her eye occurred. Had Valentina not been recklessly leading with her head, throwing caution to the wind, then Santos picks her off in round four or five.

It's easy to look like a striking ace when one of your opponents eyes is swollen shut. If anything it speaks to the striking prowess of Santos that she was able to keep the striking figures relatively close in rounds four and five.

I think Santos knocks Valentina out in a rematch. Also am interested who you believe won as Santos had nearly identical control and output figures to the ones Ngannou put up in the final three rounds against Gane. Anyone who scored the second round for Shevchenko surely scored round 5 for Ciryl Gane?
 
Man I love Valentina, but that was a robbery. Taila should have won at least 48-47 on all cards.
The judge who scored it 49-46 for Valentina should be curbstomped
