Idk. I really like Weili, but Shevchenko is no can.

But Shevchenko has lost rounds in 3 of her last 5 fights I believe. Maia, Santos beat her imo. And Shevchenko lost the fight according to one judge. And Grasso took a round, and probably would have won 2 after 4 rounds.

So her time of dominating 5 round fights might be at an end. And Weili is very strong. Weili would have a shot. Especially with her improving ground game.

Erin beats Shevchenko, imo. Maybe Manon beats her too.

I'm not giving Carla any credit for Rose looking bad though. They both looked awful in that fight. One of the worst fights I've ever seen.

You should, because that's why Rose looked bad. It wasn't Carla's threat per say, it was the perceived threat by Rose and her team and the gameplan they built. Rose wouldn't fight like that if she was facing Weili. We know that because we've seen Rose fight Weili twice.

No that fight sucked shit. Ask anyone. They both circled and shadow boxed. Minimal engagement. That was worse than sparring.

Grasso stuffed 8 out of 10 take downs and she had amazing get-ups.

Grasso’s TDD is NOT bad dude.

Ok I get it. You like Thug Rose. "I'm the best! I'm the best!". But she didn't win a finish or decision in the rematch she won a split-decision. ANd like I said, her last performance was abysmal. Not because of Carla because Carla did NOTHING in that fight either. If they're not even in range to touch each other, there's no threat of anything.

No need to be insulting. Keep it cool Shersister. I'm merely questioning the 2nd Rose win. A split decision is not the same as a finish or majority decision. It leaves doubt and I think Weili has evolved since that fight anyway. Is this not a reasonable observation?

Grasso did her homework. She came out southpaw to throw Shevchenko off. She backed Shevchenko to the cage, leaving her without room to move straight back, which is her preferred way to dodge attacks. She prepared well for the body lock takedowns, forcing Shevchenkomto go for double legs, which she rarely ever does. She prepped well,for the crucifix, and was able to get out of it within seconds.

She does have good takedowns. Grasso prepped well for the upper body and body lock takedowns, forcing Shevchenko to go to double legs, which Grasso wasn’t prepped for, as Shevchenko almost never does them

I haven't seen any meaningful evidence that she's improved substantially since then.

Yea I think a lot of people missed the adjustment by Grasso in a he 4th. She started lowering her stance to react to TDs faster. Grasso has underrated Fight IQ

Even in a losing effort it was an impressive showing to see Shevchenko pull a wrestling heavy gameplan out like that. Plus she started to adjust to Grasso’s boxing by putting a jab on her. Intelligent fight from both women

Carla took her down 4 times and had 7:11 control time. Literally 19 seconds shy of being controlled for half the fight. So maybe she improved immensely since that fight, maybe the cut to SW was too much. Losing to Carla means you don't have very good TDD, distance control etc. She is the Female Ben Askren. World beater if you don't have the ability to stop her TDs. Carla has 2 stoppages in 15 fights in the UFC. A sub over a green Rose and a TKO over Yan Xiaonan.
