Valentina is a sore loser

Lol at thinking the fight should’ve been stopped. If she ate so many punches why did she barely have a scratch on her face? Oh that’s right it’s because Grasso was merely punching her arms. Regardless the 5th Round being a 10-8 was a travesty. Literally one person scored it that way.
Who said I thought it should be stopped? I said the worst ref in the UFC who is known to stop fights way to goddamn early would have certainly stopped it. How fuckin stupid is your eye balls? Grasso landed like 16 free shots to the head right when she took her back. It could have easily been stopped. Where is the intelligent defense? We've seen fights stopped for lesser.

It would’ve been a terrible stoppage as barely any punches got through because Grasso was punching her arms. The few that did get through didn’t do any kind of actual damage.

Judge can give a 10-8 if the winner of the round is close to submitting the loser. Grasso had a face crank at the end, Val was saved by the bell. Agree with the scoring or not, that was definitely not an Adelaide Byrd 'make up a number' call

There is criteria for a 10-8 round.. Almost getting a sub is not part of that criteria.. But by your reasoning She was no closer to a sub than Val was in Rnd 3.. Val also had significant control time.

Valentina is gonna lose her brown card for that one
As a drummer myself. Is that just some random hot girl pretending. Or is she actually in a band? If so.. What band?

Either way.. Very nice.

TIL punching arms = head dribbling off mat.

I thought Val took the fight myself, but the 4th could go either way as many felt it was Grasso's round. Obviously the 10-8 was a bit odd. Confused by some saying 1 elbow causing a cut isn't an example of damage.

I think what's being overlooked is that was a pretty entertaining fight. I never realized the hate towards Val on here. I thought she had a pretty solid following. Oh I forgot, she lost a fight after being dominant as shit for a long time. Now throw in a draw and I'm sure she was never that good. Did I do it right?

I think thats what people are missing here and im shocked not more folks are calling it out lol. Im sure Grasso is happy shes champ for another day but the way how she celebrated the draw for sure lit a fire in Val.

I says.. Pardon?

Getting subbed in the first fight WASN’T enough motivation to get Shevchenko fired up for the rematch?

I guess she is really going to mean it next time?

Right?

Yeah, she can’t handle losing, and becomes super cringy. I’ve lost a lot of respect for her over the last few years…

So I'm basing my posts only but what I heard immediately after the fight- I believe it was Cormier, but I can go back and check at some point.

I personally had Val 3-2, but have zero issues with Alexa 3-2. If Cormier's interpretation of the unified rules regarding a 10-8 is correct, that explains the judge's score. I agree that Val had the considerable edge in ground control, but I also think she didn't do a lot with it, whereas Grasso was active with her control.

Her head wasn’t dribbling off the mat. Where was all the damage on her face from the tons of unanswered shots you think she took?
You hear her post fight speech? She totally got cte'd up big time, and was talking delirious.

Considering the last round was clearly not a 10-8 she has a right to be upset since that's what cost her the win

Also two judges gave 4th to her, complain about those scores too then :). 2,4,5 Grasso. 4th was questionable, that could be 10-10 and draw at best.

In 5th judge gave 10-8 because Shevchenko looked like she quit in fetal position receiving shots and was almost finished by the end of fight.
