All I'm saying is it didn't happen in my high school. Guys who dated much younger girls were mocked for having no game, and girls NEVER dated much younger guys.

There was a guy in 1984 I still remember who dated a girl two years behind him and people thought it was weird. They were both really religious and ultimately got married, but people talked.

I can't even imagine three years.

- I think i posted here. But when i was 14/15, was comon for guys above 20 to go to watch our school PT class, and those werent young looking guys. And that was in the open. Those were the guys that were in clases lowers than us, but had to go at night, to not study with teens and preteens

Romeo and Juliette laws should be strict 2 year gaps. 13-15, 15-17, and 17-19. You're 20? 18 is as low as you go, which shouldn't be a problem unless you're a scumbag. Teens stay with teens. Problem solved.

And side bar, there is no amount of additional information that can be presented to justify an adult fucking a 13 year old. Ive never seen a fucking child and gone "looks adult enough for me". Seek therapy or end your free trial of life if you disagree

Not true. I’ve seen this happen. Here’s the example and I’ll include where he went wrong so you can’t hyperventilate like an emotional tard.

Guy is 19 and in the navy. Very socially awkward. Probably closer to 15-16 maturity wise. Girl is 13. Says she’s 18. They sleep together because obviously if any girl said yes to this guy he’s going in. All of this I can see up to this point. I’d settle for someone just kicking him in the ass hard and telling him to stay away.

He then proceeded to date her because he’d essentially already done it at that point. Only a matter of time from there and he goes to jail for a couple years and gets registered. This all seems appropriate with an argument maybe to be made of taking him off the registry in 10 years or something. I don’t have my feet planted. This would also be a wild exception and not the rule.

The story seems to say 18 and 13. That’s not great but hardly 40 and 13. I’d probably settle for the least aggressive possible felony charge depending on exact circumstances. I could go a little lighter in the above scenario

I think that's a good rule. There would be a lot of times it's not used in 3 year gaps because parents (rightly or wrongly) don't see a problem and so on, but the law is there for when it's needed.

Sounds like a great plan and I think most are either 2 or 3 year gaps. The idea should be that we aren't sending an 18 yr old kid to jail for dating his hs girlfriend because she's a year younger.

I had a 12 yr old friend that could pass for 16; appearance wise. I used to have to threaten 1 of my friends in hs all the time to leave her alone. Not saying it makes it ok, but I could see how a hs kid would be like 'yeah she's fair' if he didnt know.

I dont have any personal knowlege. - Its just likely that the relative goes to a private/prep school.

Ther is a link that said he was a hs senior. You become a freshman at 13; hence my comment.

First did you know the girl was 13 if so then he should get the rape charge.

If she she told him she was 17 or 18 or something and looked it then I can see a reduce charge if that can be proven. Still a very serious charge, a felony but its rare this can be proven.

No dumass you must prove it was resemble that the person would not know they were under age. Its not easy to prove. Its rare it requires a lot.
