The cruiserweight division was at its peak when Usyk ruled it. Heavyweight? I agree I think it's weak but that's debatable. Here's a recently published BoxingScene article that already rates the 2020s Top 5 all-time (#4) and this decade is only halfway through.

"White Americans" cheering for Fury over Wilder is one of the funniest, most delusional things I've ever heard. Wilder was pushed by the moon by American media, which obviously means that a large portion of his fan base, if not the majority of them are not black.

I think it is hiliarious this guy is trying to sell that, when we are a month removed from one of the biggest boxing events in years starring a black heavyweight fighting a white influencer, with the former (Tyson) being incredibly popular among white people. In fact, if you asked most white people who their favorite heavyweight boxer is, it is almost certainly someone black. Maybe that poster watched Coming to America too much and thinks the average white person in 2025 thinks Rocky Marciano is the goat.

Also, I am black and Usyk is one of my favorite fighters. I do not have insecurity about my race, and feel the need to like guys based on their color. It's actually sad there are people who can't like guys of other backgrounds, legitimately sad. No, that is not the same thing as rooting for someone who shares a common heritage.

Eastern Europeans are not favored over blacks by "white America" - if they were than the Klitcho brothers would be commercial successes and Americans would be able to name more than one cruiserweight. White Americans and Black Americans are similar to each other despite what the media tries to portray, anyone who sat down and thought about it for more than 10 seconds would see that.

Doesn't compute. The Klitschkos have always held this opinion going back 12+ years. Wlad was rumored to be making a comeback potentially against Usyk. Reportedly he was toying with the idea of looking to break Foreman's age record.
