Usman still looking for Canelo payday

Not worth the loss. Likely already makes over a million every time he fights off of PPV points and flat pay. His legacy should be more important to him than taking a bad loss for a big payday.

He’s not looking for a challenge. “Challenge” implies a possibility of winning.

He’s actively avoiding a challenge and openly expressing a willingness to get brutally KO’ed and outright manhandled, so long as the money is right.
I agree that he would get manhandled and likely KO'd but that's irrelevant because it's never going to happen. I'm just confused as to who he is actively avoiding? I'm on the Khamzat train but he's hardly done enough to earn a shot. The only guy you could argue he is avoiding is Leon who I believe deserves a TS but I highly doubt Usman sees him as some huge challenge to try to avoid

He will get 25 million minimum if he fights Canelo. Canelo made 40 million his last fight.

Kamarty is already talking about retiring and going to boxing now that Khagoat has arrived.

On the other hand I would like to see him hurt against Canelo.

Ive always wondered how this version of canelo would do against a slow plodding guy with no head movement or power and who doesn’t punch in combonations. Or punch well and reacts poorly to getting hit.

Stop with the condescending question , he's telling truth.
Usman is the welterweight GOAT of MMA. It's not his fault that MMA is a crap sport with no real money or prestige.

It’s not so much that he’s actively avoiding someone, but moreso that any decent challenge in MMA enhances his legacy much more than willingly getting flatlined for some money in boxing. Khamzat and Leon are winnable fights for Usman that enhance his standing in the sport.

What Canelo is doing right now is actually an example of building a legacy exactly the way it should be done - fighting regularly, against high calibre opposition, and even moving through weight classes to do so. He’s the guys who’s challenging himself, despite already having accomplished more in boxing than Usman has in MMA.

Canelo lmao.

He's developed a decent 1-2 and thinks he's a boxer. That's all he's fkn got. Canelo would tasmanian devil him.

Is he really trying to twist Canelo's "Payday" jibe as as positive, as in he is a pay day for Canelo?

Problem for Usman is that Conor-Mayweather soured the whole market on these type of fights. I don't think there will be alot of casuals who are going to pay to see these sort of crossover type matches now.

Zero chance of getting a Canelo payday, has far more chance of fighting on one of those youtube kid fight cards, would still likely make more than he's ever made in the UFC in one fight, just wouldn't be 20 plus million.

Unlucky for Usman that Canelo is the rare boxer who's not looking for easy paydays. If I was Canelo I would take this fight in a heartbeat, easy money. Canelo's focused on legacy though, that's why he's fighting a Cruiser weight(200 lbs) champ next. Beating Usman does nothing for his boxing legacy.

"Massa Canelo please bless me with a payday, please massa" - Marty Juiceman, the CEO of EPO

Well that's an easy request. I am sure that will work out fine for him..

How would Usman be a payday for Canelo?
It is quite a bad look for the UFC/Dana to have his champs 100% willing to take a beatdown in the Boxing Ring just for the obvious payday they will NEVER get in the UFC...
