To me, the main factor in this fight is the 'back of the head' rule. Usman did an outstanding job of only exposing the back of his head. Khamzat also did a great job of avoiding it so he didn't get DQed or a point taken. What does this create? A round like round 1. Make no mistake about it, Khamzat was pretty dominant, but he couldn't really do any damage due to the rule. It's annoying that people are stupid enough to call it "lay and pray", because realistically, Usman is the one exploiting the rule set and praying for a standup, point deduction, or DQ.
