How much do you want to bet on him spending no time in jail? I will bet my avatar for a month. You want in?

He pleaded to save himself from bankruptcy and his son from extended legal bills. Did you actually follow this case, or do you just spout off MSNBC talking points?

It was widely reported by mainstream media he would be serving no jail time.

If he cheated his taxes I won't feel bad for him when he goes down. Having said that, what does that have to do with Russia collusion?

Also as I stated way back in the beginning... The scope of this investigation seems to fly in the face of the 4th.
Clinton Whitewater ended up a consensual BJ with an intern.

The scope goes wherever the investigation leads and whatever it digs up. That is how it works.

I'm not betting on whether he spends time in prison. The Dec. 4 sentencing memorandum from the prosecutor recommended that Flynn not spend time in prison because of how helpful he was. That bit is on the bottom of the first paragraph of page 1, elaborated on on page 5, and repeated on page 6. The fact that I know this should tell you that I'm following this case more closely than you are.

You asserted that his case would be thrown out. I am willing to bet on whether his conviction is vacated - ie, whether his case will be thrown out.

Flynn and manafort need to be pardoned. This is a witch hunt. Its so obvious. The goal is to take down the Trump organization, his cabinet, Republican party, and now the NRA and all Trump advisors and Trump himself. Its akin to a coup

...But if Trump pardons them, he will be denying Democrats their Constitutional right to investigate Donald Trump!

Mueller is trying to find unrelated stuff and tie it to Trump. And get him and all his supporters removed on the basis of weak links or fabricated ones. Cheating on taxes and few things of a few guys means nothing.
It's a far cry from what they originally claimed the "investigation" was intended for.

When the Democrats seize power after their massive midterm win they have the constitutional authority to launch as many investigations as they want.

I'm not familiar with the vagaries of jurisprudence but wouldnt it be hard to throw out a guilty plea substantiated with corroborating evidence?

The origins of the Mueller investigation go back to trump trying to get comey to let go of the flynn investigation. Blame trump. You won't.

"Massive midterm win" . . . is that what you call it when you lose seats in the Senate and barely manage to flip the House?

No. A judge doesn't ever have to accept a plea.

It was a historic midterm win.

On topic, I doubt this gets thrown out. The judge appears to be grandstanding but the likelihood this is thrown out is nil.

Nah, it was about Trump colluding with Russia to get elected. Remember? I'd say nice try, but it really wasn't.
The goalposts have been moved so far, they're not even on the same field anymore.
You must be one of those gullible marks that fell hook line and sinker for it, right?

Hardly. Historically, the opposing party takes seats in both the House and the Senate during midterm elections.
It was a mumbler.

If the plea has already been accepted by the court, yes. It's not a final decision, but its not easy to withdraw a plea. And if a defendant hasn't even asked to withdraw from or vacate the guilty plea, it's extremely unlikely that the judge will do so.

The Senate wins may speak to gerrymandering. From my understanding the dems midterm performance in the house was impressive.

Oh ok so this thread is essentially pointless speculation then.

Michael Flynn is a traitor to this nation. He conspired with the terrorist Turkish regime to kidnap an American resident and transport him out of country for a $15MM bounty.

He should be hanged for treason.
Oh those wacky unregistered foreign agents.

If only somebody had warned anyone at all about Flynn.

Owait

Not Mommy too!
During the planning, Ivanka Trump, the president-elect’s eldest daughter and a senior executive with the Trump Organization, was involved in negotiating the price the hotel charged the 58th Presidential Inaugural Committee for venue rentals. A top inaugural planner emailed Ivanka and others at the company to “express my concern” that the hotel was overcharging for its event spaces, worrying of what would happen “when this is audited.”
