News USADA allowed athletes who failed drug tests to not be suspended or reported if they snitched on others

How is this breaking news? In 2018, Jon had his ban reduced to 15 months for snitching on other users (the original ban was 45 months).
Because he was suspended, and that was reported on publicly. The article is about athletes who failed tests but were NOT suspended and whose failures were NOT reported. This is a huge difference.

Ah, gotcha. Letting cheaters continue to play instead of being suspended at all is a big problem. Thanks for pointing that out.

That's the crazy thing. If this happened in the UFC, we'd have no idea. No public announcement of failed tests, no slap on the wrist, seemingly no negative consequences for the athlete whatsoever.

Everyone forgetting that Islam pissed hot and got let off the hook with the least believable story I’ve ever heard.

Anyway the UFC is so corrupt that even USADA wasn’t crooked enough for them so they had to go.

I remember in the past when they said they'd no longer announce failed tests (and people thought this was probably to benefit Jon), but I don't remember ever hearing that fighters who failed tests could still fight. That's so much worse than even the most cynical people here predicted.

Now I'm really confused by Jon's three-year hiatus.

Still can't believe people actually thought USADA didn't have their own agenda. B b but they are used for the Olympics and those guys are natty! It was a recipe for disaster from the start because enhanced drug testing is optional. The UFC was a paying customer and more importantly overtime they wanted the rules to be changed to ensure drug testing did not get in the way of business.

You got to realize enhanced drug testing was implemented because of the pending lawsuit against them. Pro union lobbyists were accusing the UFC of failing to protect the athletes. The last thing they wanted was another reason for an union to become standard

I mean just look at the whole Conor situation. The guy was clearly juiced up to a point where Dana was hiring his own private testers to ensure Conor could pass a test

I definitely remember hearing about this with Jones a few years back.

I know the Diaz bros aren’t no snitches or steroid users!! 209

Right, but those were both reported by USADA and both served suspensions. Plus USADA also reported Jon's suspension being shortened due to "significant cooperation." This tidbit in the OP is saying that there could be guys who were neither reported nor suspended.
Which means it could be anyone in all sports. I wouldn’t put it past USAF’s doing it for jones prior to that and we never heard about it.

Sure seems now it wasn't just one fighter they didn't protect.

C'mon TC - Brock had consequences, he had to deal with millions of Dana's dollars.

Maybe Hunto can get that court case back with some new evidence.
They have proven in court that Brock passed his PED tests and Mark was lying./s

They should just get some clean juices and let everyone dope up

Hmm, must have missed that. I thought it was thrown out/lost on some other issue.
