US Police killed more people in March than UK Police since 1900

You still sound butthurt.

How? I'm pointing out facts, that comparing uk to the usa, is like comparing your country to china. Yep makes sense...stop crying because you may not be right.
It's getting cute how we are suppose to look to Europe for answer?

uh...

But you may have a point, considering the US still resorts to death penalty. Like China.

I was just "pointing out facts". Not offering a solution for your problems. Stop acting like a butthurt pony and face the facts. Your country has a huge violence AND gun violence AND cop violence problem. Most Euro countries do not (yet). That does not mean that they have the answers for your problems.

lol again with the butt hurt. I'm just sitting here laughing, do you really think the momment you step off your gonna get a sniper bullet to the head? Calm down little boy.

I live in Texas, an we have a ass load of guns, but i'm sorry i don't see people still stepping outside the corral an having shoot outs like you seem to think we do.

ill take cops with guns over your security guards named Earl who drive in a smart car.

Well, it comes with the territory. We got some fucked up people here that have guns.

Still, i'd prefer the police to have guns. I remember a few years ago in the UK when those two Muslims beheaded the English servicemen and when the cops showed up all they can do was watch because machete > stick. Same with the responders to the magazine office shooting in France. Completely ineffective. Anybody paid by taxpayer money to protect should be ready for all situations. Here, there is a lot of situations where perps have guns.

What needs to change is protocol. I know there is precedence for police needing to be quick on the trigger here because some died for not shooting quick enough, but more often than not the shoot first ask questions later backfires....but since that is what they are trained to do..it's hard to fault them when somebody reaches in their coat pocket and they were trained to believe waiting to see what it is can prove to be too late and of course there is history of that being true.

I won't disagree with that. There should be more accountability, though. Especially through body cams that cannot be disactivated etc.

Here come the Europeans who think they are Center of all thats holy on earth.

Those Europeans, by no merit associated with their nationality, are much smarter than you. Listen to them, if only because of that simple fact.

I'm from rural Illinois (aka the US heartland) by the way.

Agreed 100 percent.

I don't think anything. I just think your cops kill an insane number of people apparently.

Our "Earls" in Germany are policemen who carry guns.

FYI, in Germany, 472 people have been killed since 1952 through police guns.

I wonder how many people German police have killed since 1900, specifically in the 30's and 40's

But in all seriousness it is a troubling stat but comparing the US to the UK is pretty dumb.

Why would that be? Because the UK is very densely populated and nobody lives in the majority of the US?

The UK has about 20% of US inhabitants.

Regular police not having guns works for us and I hope it continues. We are in a different position, we have a chance at a society with almost no guns, we should try to take it. Once a bunch of guns are out there there's not really any going back. And no, our democratically elected parliaments aren't being thrown out by the army every other week :icon_lol:

I'd put a bit of blame on the person making them chase after them at high speeds but to each his own.

Oh yeah, the cops are forced to chase. Courts have said cops don't have to protect you. Have they said that a cop must pursue a fleeing suspect? It seems to me more like something the police want to do (drive fast and take down the motherfuckers not respecting authoritah!) rather than something they have to do. Hard to imagine the courts saying cops have to put everyone on the road's lives in danger with their speeding (and of course "making" the fleeing suspect drive recklessly due to being pursued).
