Its almost as if you guys dont even read the news.

This is laughable. First, the Democrats insisted on attaching the immigration issue to the needed CR---but most people are smart enough to see that funding the government is totally separate from the immigration issue.

Second, the Gang of Six bill you referenced is very much at odds with the terms that the Trump administration laid out. It would go far beyond DACA by offering citizenship to ALL illegal immigrants who came to the US as children. It would extend TPS to people from El Salvador who were given "temporary" residency in the wake of a 2001 earthquake (news flash: it's 2018).

The far left is grandstanding, attempting to capitalize on the supposed "shithole" remark.

@tkotom I'm not some expert at Probability, and the actual work that goes into polling is above my pay grade. But here's a sample size calculator. The calculation for a simple situation like finding the proportion of people who are going to vote for a party isn't that hard to do by hand either. Type 320 million into the population size box. You'll notice it spits out a sample size of 385.

There's a lot of reasons a poll might not be good, but having a 1000 person sample size likely isn't one of them.

Taking a sample of 1000 and saying that since 70% of 1000 voted for DACA, that a majoirty of Americans support it, is complete horseshit.

They are claiming that McConnell publicly "promised" an up-or-down vote on a "clean DACA" bill.

I listened to McConnell's statement and of course, he said no such thing. The video is below. Here is the exact quotation:
