Let it shut down. I challenge the democrats to stand for illegal immigrants over citizens. Something tells me that’s where the normal everyday Americans draw the line.

Shutdown doesn't mean much. Some people don't get paid for a week or 2 but critical functions continue on. If you've worked in government you should be prepared for this and pretty much all agencies have already designated their critical staff positions years ago.

During these shut-downs, the fact that we find out that there is such a thing as "non-essential positions" should be quite telling.

I'm sad for the people whose payday may be delayed. Unfortunately, when you rely on the government, the government doesn't always come through for you.
