Our southern border is already, and has been since 2009, more secure than at any point in history.

Like, I get that it's a fun talking point that you can continually point to so long as there isn't a wall, but there has been negative migration across that border for a decade and border removals were at an all-time high even before Trump ramped them up even more.

John Kelly then met with Republicans and Democrats on a plan, and apparently said they had come to an agreement on a framework. He then, out of nowhere, decided to meet with hardliners in the party who rejected it.
