I think the confusion here is that Dana is actually given his opinion and assessment on Khabib. He hasn't had a long convo with him and Khabib never said to Dana he's coming back. He should retire, he's done it all and went out on top. He really has nothing left to prove except for a superfight against GSP, which would be amazing as a fan, but Khabib certainly can do without.

Well, yeah. He's met all of his championship level goals, his father was a driving force in his career, injuries suck, and he's saved his money much better than most fighters do. Khabib will probably come back for his dream fight, but otherwise time experiencing retirement is the only thing that might realistically change his mind about retirement.

What about Jon Jones and Stipe though. Both don't strike on first impression as very smart/intellectual.
