Someone edit the first post, and add that she was scheduled to beat up Aldana this month, but had to pull out due to injury.
Germaine was right, regardless of her foul history at Featherweight, she was right:
Cliff notes:
* She accepted to fight at Fight Island, because it was a safe environment for fighters and their teams. Otherwise, she would've stayed at home.
* She felt disrespected by the UFC's placing her #1, and Peña (#4), below Holm (#2) and Aldana (#5). They weren't even co-main event.
* Insists that she loves fighting, and wouldn't mind using her vacation time from work, in order to book more fights. Yet she doesn't need to fight, as she's set and has done everything she wanted. Even contemplated retiring after the Nunes rematch.
TL;DR: Germaine is playing by her rules, doesn't want to be forced into anything (including getting vaccinated) and that's probably why the UFC has been a little difficult with her. She's also a problem for the rest of the division, they're not good enough to beat her (or Holm), thus, they'll keep derailing hype trains.
