Upcoming Games (PC-centric Edition)

2022
I doubt it will release in 2022 considering they haven't announced a hard date less than 3 weeks out, but currently that is still the official quote.

I'm really excited for this one.

This was the last update I've seen in the forum from a dev on Nov 23rd

"We are really really close to be finished, but QA took a bit longer then we expected. We finished the design of entire world, as well as storylines. Bosses are also completed. But a lot of minor bugs were discovered.
It all depends how quickly we resolve those issues, it could be a week, or it could be a month. Until we know for sure we can't give the exact date, hence the lack of public announcement, but as the things are looking currently, the most we see is a push to January, tho December is still likely."

I forgot this game was even still in development. It got restarted a while ago, right? I’d say it’s probably officially in development hell at this stage.
The Indians proved incompetent. Technically in the "delayed indefinitely" purgatory, but it has an actual game store page (on Epic), which is a good sign, and now that it has been handed off to the Canadians, I'm sure it will release, if only distantly. Looks like 2024.

Remake[edit]
A remake of the game was announced at Ubisoft Forward 2020 and was originally scheduled to release on 21 January, 2021, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is being developed by Indian studios Ubisoft Mumbai and Ubisoft Pune.[100] Lowenthal returned to voice the Prince, while Farah was voiced by Supinder Wraich.[36] The announcement trailer drew criticism from fans who considered the game's graphics to be lackluster, particularly as it was being developed using the newest iteration of Ubisoft Anvil. Ubisoft responded by stating that the visual style was an intentional choice, as they had wanted it to be "unique ... to make this game standout from other games" due to its fantasy elements.[101][102][103] The release of the game was initially delayed by Ubisoft to 18 March, 2021,[104] before being postponed indefinitely to "deliver a remake that feels fresh while remaining faithful to the original."[105][106] In its quarterly financial report of 2021, Ubisoft stated the game is expected to be out during its 2022–2023 fiscal year.[107] In May 2022, Ubisoft announced that Ubisoft Montreal was taking over development of the remake.[108] A month later Ubisoft once again delayed the game, this time stating that the company was no longer targeting a release during its 2022–2023 fiscal year.[109]

I'm putting all major projects with a trailer in here. So far I've only drawn the line at The Elder Scrolls VI. There's a lot of shit that gets hyped at the Game Awards and other shows way before its ready that we forget about, but that really was a slap in the face on a historic level. Drone footage of a single texture that could have come from Skyrim, and not a single other scrap in four years.

Fans of the TV series who don't traditionally play games may find this alluring as it doesn't require a high-end rig, and Telltale games are mostly about point-and-click choose-your-own-adventure mechanics. The Amazon series' Cara Gee reprises her role with voicework as Camina Drummer for the game's central role. It appears this will be an Epic exclusive on PC.

Thx Mick

Hopefully the game is great. I love the Drummer character. She was sort of a combination of two characters from the books, and probably the best change in the adaptation.

The show fell flat at the end as it only resolved the the war with Marcos/Belters, which was the least interesting aspect for me. They really need to another couple of seasons, at least, so hopefully this game helps spearhead a return.

The Expanse showrunners are among interested parties in continuing Stargate for Amazon, so if they don't continue the Expanse, I hope they're given the reigns for that.

Regardless, I can't wait for this game!

This is another PC game i'm super excited for, a CRPG in the 40k Universe (finally!!)

This is the dev team behind the Pathfinders games, which were pretty good. 40K lore is insane, and these guys know they're engine.
