Unsigned Heavyweights - Thread Two

Bellator seems to be doing a much better job than the UFC at signing young prospects early. I'm scratching my head to think of the last time the UFC landed a decent Heavyweight prospect.

Haha yeah, I was going to say Erokhin. The good thing with Bellator is they can build guys up against one and done regional fighters, whereas the UFC doesn't have that same ability with a locked roster.

Curtis Blaydes, Yosef Ali Mohammad, Wade Sauer, and Tom Aspinall are some other early career fighters they should grab to build up over the course of the next couple years.

Big news. It seems like Ion Cutelaba has officially dropped to LHW in his last fight.

That's awesome! I was always curious if him and Goltsov would drop down. I see him becoming an instant person of interest in that division, maybe even getting signed soon.

Is Dave Huckaba vs C.J Leveque the first super heavyweight in a major orginization, or am I mistaken?

No.
They're rare in the US now, but they've been done in the past (UFC 28) and in overseas orgs that are comparable to WSOF.

apparently Gzim Selmani is giving up mma and trying his hand at pro wrestling. training with tommy end

Well that's different. All he needed was to work on his cardio and he would have done fine in MMA.

Evgeny Erokhin - Mike Kyle

Evgeny looks so small there, like he could make MW with some weight loss and cutting. I wonder if he'll do LHW next. Good win though.

Dion Staring defeats Ricco Rodriguez via TKO due to retirement. Ricco apparently left the ring after the second round due to an eye injury. A rematch of Staring vs Delija is in the cards next I suspect.

This is an odd one, but Greek wrestler Ioannis Arzoumanidis has apparently fought 3 MMA fights over the past 3 years. They were hairy to say the least, both the fights and the fighters, but if he decides to move fully away from wrestling and into MMA, he would be an interesting prospect, aside from his height at 5'9".

Haha okay you got me

Ruslan Magomedov, Erokhin, Cannonier, Copeland, Harris, Lewis, Rosholt, Hamilton., Oliynyk.

These are the recent HW pickups, Magomedov and Erokhin are legit.

Tybura is the HW prospect everyone wants, he's the golden egg right now, both Bellator and UFC and M 1 I'm sure will want to keep him.
