Also, Fernando Rodrigues is fighting Alison Vicente (12-11) at Talent MMA Circuit 10 on August 9th.

If Rodrigues loses to a MW in Vicente, I will flip a table and give up on Brazillian heavyweights. Every time I see a guy coming from the HW scene in Brazil that looks promising he ends up getting beaten up by a journeyman in a lower weight class.

The good part is most of the promising Brazilian heavyweights are all still pretty young. I forgot his name, but I saw one previously unbeaten prospect lose to a blown up light heavy with one second left! They need at least one good guy to come through in that area.

Huge card for Heavyweight fights coming up in Island Fights 30 on September 5th. Most of the guys are older guys, but this might be the most Heavyweight fights i've ever seen on one card.

Dillon Clecker (5-0) vs. TBA
Jon Hill (5-2) vs. Chris Barnett (9-1) for Super Heavyweight title
Richard White (15-16) vs. Sean McCorkle (17-6)
Mike Gordon (4-1) vs. Chaz Morgan (7-0) Says HW, but these guys usually fight SHW.
Jeremy May (9-8) vs. Ron Sparks (8-3)
Jonathan Ivey (30-51) vs. TBA
Dakota Merritt (0-0) (amateur champion) vs. TBA

Is Jeremy May a Heavy now? That is the same guy that Matt Brown beat on TUF right? He was calling himself BAMF or something like that.

Hell Yeah Dillion Cleckler is back! I have some pretty high hopes for that guy. and No shit it's ron sparks!

Yeah, it's the same guy. He hasn't fought since 2011 against David Branch in Shark Fights. Seems most of his career was at a lower weight, but even Sherdog has him weighing 228. He seemed to be cutting a lot of weight to make 170. He's only 27, but I don't see a resurgence happening now.

He's almost 36, fought in FCFF amateurs for a bit and compiled a 3-0 record there. Not overly impressed, I think Linderman isn't coming in to fight anymore to be honest.
Thanks for the reply, didn't expect him to be 36. So im curious for your opinion on who has the best bjj, wrestling and striking on the list. thanks in advance.

This is a SHW showcase event. Barnett shouldn't have much trouble with Hill, but with all this SHW nonsense he's just making excuses to come in at 320+ pounds. I hope Chaz Morgan loses, inflated record and he rubs me the wrong way for some reason. McCorkle returning against White should be an easy setup for McCorkle vs Beast Boy at the next event.

For Cleckler, I'd like to see him fight Prindle. They've got Sparks, go for Prindle to complete the duo. :D

I'm late to the party so please don't judge, but was the UFC SHW talk legit or was that a rumor? I'm not opposed to it by any means if it happens, though it would be very....interesting. If it turns out to be true, then War Beast Boy UFC SHW champ 2016!

It was a rumor that definitely won't happen. :P

I dont think it's true. This is the only promotion I know of that consistently puts on shw contests. If they add the division, they're going to deplete the heavyweight division. Even if there isn't that many large heavyweights at the moment, there could be one day. Any able bodied person should be able to cut to 265. If you can't, you're probably a body builder like pudzianowski.

Best BJJ: Marcin Tybura (Black belt) followed by Satoshi Ishii (Brown belt)
Best Wrestling: Steve Mocco (Olympics) followed by Wade Sauer (NCAA Div 1 top 5)
Best Striking: Konstantin Erokhin followed by Denis Goltsov
Best all rounder: Denis Smoldarev followed by Smealinho Rama

The striking part I wasn't really sure of though, there's lots of guys who have strong backgrounds there.

Yosef Ali Mohammed is fighting Luc Ngeleka (1-0) at Strength And Honor Championship 10 on September 20th in Geneva, Switzerland.

That's sort of a "meh" fight, but I shouldn't complain since Yosef shouldn't really be rushed at this point.

If Superior Challenge would put on three shows a year, maybe he wouldn't have to go elsewhere for fights. Heavyweight is pretty weak there outside eastern Europe so I guess he has to take what he can get.

He should still fight Christian Golcic in Sweden. If he keeps winning, id love to see him fight Christian Colombo for a big league contract.

Christian Colombo would be great. Andreas Kraniotakes, Bjoern Schmiedeberg, Nandor Guelmino, Gzim Selmani, Gerald Turek, Jarjis Danho, and Christian Golcic would all be fights he could take as well. He should see if he can make the trip to fight in some of the other European promotions like EMMA, or the handful of German promotions.

These two would be good tests for him at this point, I doubt Selmani whos also in the prospect stage himself would fight him.

I wonder when selmani is fighting again. He has some solid potential.

Will be checking this thread regularly, thanks.
