Unsigned Heavyweights - Thread Three

Tomasz Kowalkowski loses by first round choke to Brendon Groenewald at EFC Africa. It looks like it will be Groenewald vs Asker for the next title shot.

That's kind of a surprising upset. Nice work by Groenewald.

Heads up.. Evgeny Erokhin makes his WSOF debut very soon against Jeremy May.

Here's a highlight I made for him, let me know what you think please. Thanks.

not WSOF but WSOF Global
They are totally different company.

I saw that you have at number 7 Adam Milstead

I would like to make it clear to every one Adam will stay at Heavy Weight for the remainder of his career.

I'm also so hoping he gets more love here knowing his has finished his last 7 fights.

Love the list just wanted to update you on Adams statues as a HW

Thanks for clearing this up! I've been curious of which weight class he will choose, if signed, since he weighs in around 230. 205 is always an option for him later on if need be, but he's been a beast at heavy.

Awesome, good job man!

If he wins I think he'd be perfect in Rizin's 220 pound tournament, he wouldn't need to cut any weight either.

Thanks for the info! I hope to see him in a larger promotion soon. My thoughts would be a title shot in CFFC against the winner of Anyanwu vs Spohn in December.

The cut to 205 is to hard for him.

I'll post his next fight as soon as we know.
Thank you for the support!

Vinicius Lima returns against Mukhomad Vakhaev at Absolute Championship Berkut 26 on 11/28. Should be an easy win.

What do you guys think of 'Baby Fedor' Kirill Sidelnikov returning at the RIZIN event? He looked like he had trouble getting comfortable in his first mma stint, I hope he's been training.

He is heavier than Fedor and has excellent grappling with power. He isn't nearly as fast or agile. I don't think he is a future champ, but he is a good fighter. He has defeated a number of good fighters in sambo. His dominance there is fedoresque but he isn't fedoresque overall.

Vakhaev is better than his record and had a close fight against Rasulov. His skills have improved since joining berkut camp. He is also hometown fighter and can outwork brazilian, who will fight out of Brazil for the first time.

Good point. I'll admit I don't know much about Vakhaev. Just basing this of of Lima's recent win over Thiago Santos, though that doesn't mean as much now as it used to.

This one is a toss up for me, Lima has been more out of shape and sloppy lately, but still has tons of power. But Russian events usually don't fly in Brazilians to beat their guys, so they must think Vakhaev has a chance at it.

Also Denis Smoldarev is fighting on a weird Kickboxing/MMA hybrid card on December 5th against Chaban Ka as the main MMA event.

Lots of fights this weekend:

Jeff Monson (57-23) vs. Konstantin Skrelya (3-3) - Octagon Fighting Sensation

Evgeny Erokhin (12-4) vs. Jeremy May (13-8) - WSOF Global 1
Roy Boughton (12-5) vs. Maurice Jackson (3-1) - Global Knockout 5
Karl Etherington (10-2) vs. Juergen Dolch (4-17) - ICE FC 9
Lorenzo Hunt (9-2) vs. Shelton Graves (3-3) - Global Proving Ground 22
Chaz Morgan (9-1) vs. Dakota Merritt (2-1) - Island Fights 36
Dillon Cleckler (8-1) vs. William Baptiste (3-7) - Island Fights 36
Daniil Arepyev (3-0) vs. Yuri Gorbenko (10-25) - Pro FC 59

So Smoldarev isn't under contracts with M-1 anymore?

Shelton graves beats Bellator's lorenzo hood via TKO for the Gloval Proving Ground HW Title.

Lorenzo gassed hard in the first and had to use his stool to help him get up. He even sat longer than he should have.

Well, I had hopes his time training at the Blackzillian's would have changed him as a fighter, but that's honestly not shocking.
