I just don't think anyone should be expelled for holding views that hurts someone's feellings.

I'll maintain the consistency and I thought what Donald Sterling said was actually quite funny and reasonable. "I don't care if you fuck those black guys, just keep it do"...

I think you shouldn't take it personally that there are blacks who probably wouldn't like you because you are white. Enjoy the chaotic nature of the universe...it ain't changing for you or your delicate sensibilities.

I would agree, and prefer symmetry on that scale, but we are where we are.

So let's at least be consistent about it. Otherwise, we (and by that I mean liberals) are just lying to themselves.

I would be very surprised if there aren't several people in the WR who agree with the bold text. (not saying I do or don't).

So, I think it's a matter of perspective. Is it a middle finger to the people whom they perceive to be their oppressors, or outright racism? Or both?

I think it's unnecessarily inflammatory, but I also think it will be a non story within a week. It's just too far outweighed by the for more batshit stuff happening every day.

Edit: I didn't read the rest either. My bad. It goes on to say they've been actively engaging in anti-white propaganda. The issue seems to be the school administration isn't doing anything about it.

And while they are ineffectively whining on social media and having demonstrations, white supremacists are by far the more prolific offenders in terms of actual violent acts and attempted acts and the number is growing. If we're going to get into which group is a worse threat to Joe Average, it's over before we even get started.

I don't think that's really the point though, is it? The title is obviously intended to be offensive. The past is littered with similar examples. And then you have the unintentional ones, Rick Perry's N-i-double guh-er Lake ring a bell?

The guestion is, is it better to show a little bit of a sense of humour and a thicker skin, and ignore them and let them fade back into obscurity, or give them a ton of notoriety and press by making a gigantic stink over it?

I am not condoning or forgiving the antifa stuff, but are you really that surprised there was a violent reaction to Trump's strong anti-Mexican and anti-immigrant rhetoric? There are always going to be a faction of people who turn things into violence, be it politics, sports, or a parking place. And comparing Trump to Obama is obtuse, Trump's rhetoric was over the top, can you find anything that Obama said that was racially incendiary? It actually went the other way at Obama from Trump and from people who think like him, with the whole birther bullshit.
