Underrated/Overrated Films

I never meant to break your heart but this film is so overrated. @NightwingBJJ

GODDAMN. HAAAAAAAA

Why don't you like it? Haa
It was way different than I was expecting for one. The second, the damn non stop drums threw out it annoyed the piss out of me. Now that it is on hbo or showtime I will probably give it another try to see if I like it more. It wouldn't be the first time it happened. I hated Zoolander and Austin Powers the first time I saw them too. But now I love them.

I noticed it is like a whole other country here. I barely recognize any of the users on these parts.

Yeah, I think a lot of Mayberrians pretty much stick to the Berry and don't do much else on the forum. There's a little bit of bleed over into the War Room.

It's like you said, it's a whole other vibe here.

Yeah, give it another shot. My only complaint with the movie is that it was a bit too pretentious, like one of those movies if you say you don't like then film buffs would laugh at you.

Under appreciated (not underrated because most got good critical and fan reviews, just not box office successes or just plain overlooked or forgotten)

Dredd

Oculus

The House of the Devil

Goon

I saw Dredd & Oculus. I was pleasantly surprised on how good Oculus was. How is The House Of The Devil?

House of the Devil is great, Horror is my favorite genre and its a slow building movie with great tension. Its just well crafted IMO and they nailed the retro vibe of the movie. Worth a watch for horror fans IMO.

I hate when I see lists of Horror movies and people exaggerate saying Exorcist is scary till this day....Stahp. It was scary for the 70's but that shit is basic now.

All the hype on Sherdog didn't meet my expectations when I did see it.

That sucks. I love that movie, top 5 in my favorite Superhero movies.

You know what is a forgotten Superhero movie for some odd reason?

A lot seem to forget that without this movie being successful then the Marvel Superhero Phase wouldn't be possible.

It never scared me. OG Wes Craven Nightmare on Elm Street scared me much more (the sequels were all a joke though, save maybe New Nightmare)

It may not be super scary by today's standards (which sadly is mostly jump scares) but rare is the horror that has that kind of character development and acting. It's a great film.

Some more underrated stuff...

Copland
Regarding Henry
A Perfect World
Invincible
Carlito's Way
Over the Top
Lock Up
Conan the Barbarian (Arnold, not that Jason Momoa piece of shit)
Lionheart (as Van Damme movies go)

Great film.

I'm in the minority that enjoys all 3, although i think the original is the best (most people say II)
