I am re-watching the movie Running Scared starring Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines (1986 yeah I'm old, get off my lawn!) and they have great chemistry. I don't believe they ever work together again in a movie, which is too bad. What are some other underrated buddy cop or other type films pairings?

John Cusack made a great pair with most people in the 80s, he did a couple with Curtis, Ione Skye, Robert Loggia and of course Daphne Zuniga.

Yeah Better Off Dead.

Curtis Armstrong did some good stuff back then. Better Off Dead, Revenge of the Nerds, Moonlighting.

Who John Cusack did NOT make a great pair with was Tim Robbins. They did a few movies together and they were all garbage.

But Better Off Dead and Say Anything were absolute classics.
