UK media - Daily Mail article

He was a brilliant fighter , he was on a tear in the Cage Rage days . Then went to the UFC and then seemingly lost his skills .

To be fair he fought Kang and McFedries... at back to back events, ufc 97 and 98. Not many would do great with that schedule.

I agree, it's amazing what a bit of marketing can do for a fighter, the way the commentators were talking at the last couple of events I thought he was going to be a total beast.

Malcolm Martin and Pierre Goulet are possibly the worst commentators ever , Martin who worked on Cage Rage was passable then as he had Quadros and Nutley to bounce off . BAMMA had The Voice for one event and loads of people complained on their FB page .

He was very positive on the event/sport, despite noticing the 6-man brawl!

It's not often that I get to watch a sport I've not seen before. Heading to Wembley for my first dose of #UFC

Very impressed with UFC so far at Wembley tonight. Not a spare seat. This sport seems to be going places #tactics #skill #bravery

Some sportsmen could learn a lot from respect shown by UFC fighters. Less talk - then fierce contests followed by genuine hugs + handshakes

Final word from me on UFC tonight. I went so I could learn about the sport. I'd definitely underestimated UFC. Skill levels so impressive

I think perhaps I and some other British sports journalists guilty of ignoring MMA. I've learnt it's genuine sport to be taken seriously

Fair play to the man, I think if that'd been the first event I'd seen I woulda given up. Poirier/Cub was the best fight I've seen in a while, and Watson/Nedkov was good; but outside that it was pretty dross. Especially the undercard.

who the fuck reads the daily muck

That is a surprise considering the type of people the Mail caters too.

As I understand it the online version of the Mail has a sizeble US readership, alot of your younger right leaning US audience is going to enjoy MMA.

There's a lot more celeb gossip stuff on the website.
